Woodward and Bernstein…pretty cool… you might have a point there on “The Crosstown Showdown”…but The Mid didn’t label that game… We were searching for one, but I was told it was called this going back to the 90′s…That’s what I know…

Is it the Mayor’s Trophy or Mayors’ Trophy?
Whether it’s Charter Oak v. Glendora or Rosemead v. Arroyo, it’s not crosstown. Just like when Covina played South Hills, or Northview’s renewing of its rivalry with South Hills, it wasn’t crosstown. Intra-district, but not crosstown, because South Hills is in West Covina and Northview in Covina.

How can you call it a cross town rivalry when Rosemead is, well, in Rosemead, and Arroyo is in El Monte. Does the meaning of a cross-town rivalry mean they are in the SAME TOWN!
