Nick Bueno ran for over 1200 yards for the Cats

How important is the ground game in the post season? We’ll find out when the first round kicks off Friday. Here’s a look at the players that will suit up in the playoffs who rushed for at least 1000 yards this season.  

Matt Fregoso – Rosemead  1945,  Amjed Aboul-hosn- Village Christian  1622,  Nick Bueno – Monrovia  1226,  Jose Perez – La Puente   1201,  Josh Simangunsong – Temple City  1134,  Mikey Vasquez – Arroyo  1071,  Abraham Gonzalez – Schurr  1008

    amjed aboulhosn is the best back. speed power and strength, biggest and most athletic back ive ever seen. 2028 yards and 35 touchdowns

    you can add 365yds and 7 touchdowns to Matt Fregosos total as of today!

    peterson, i know, i was just commenting on Anonymous, including Brown, knowing that it was for playoff bound backs only, and you are right, there were alot of nice running backs this year.

    Coach Paul- Yeah Arthur Brown at San Gabriel had a great year with 1121 yards. I just mentioned the Mid-Valley backs in the playoffs but here’s the ones I didn’t mention along with Brown.
    Demetrius Counts – Pomona 1140, Patrick Martin- South Pasadena 1134, Jossymar Ulloa – Mt. View 1869, Michael Jimenez- El Monte 1813, Giovanni Rivera 2304 …over two grand! Wow!….all great backs.

    Rosemead is gonna beat TC… How does Arroyo get seeded to play San Dimas? The Mission Valley League needs to start winning more playoff games… we get no respect.

    Fregoso puts the ball on the ground quite too often. He was shut down by TC (57 yards)in their first match up. Simangunsong had a breakout game againt the Panthers(168 yards) victory, in which the refs blew two calls to cost the Rams a victory.

    Brown & Fregoso played @ Rosemead Rebels together in the same backfield for 4 yrs, but SG did not make the playoffs, thats why he’s not on this list, but thanks anyway!
