1.) Duarte’s last victory was a 38-30 win over LA Baptist on November 22, 2008 in the first round of the CIF Playoffs.
2.) During the Falcons 19 regular season game losing streak (they only played nine games in 2010) they have been outscored 842-13.
3.) Matt Fregoso accounted for 2458 of Rosemead’s 2811 yards rushing in 2010.
4.) Nick Bueno accounted for 3341 yards from scrimmage (1828 passing, 1513 rushing) of Monrovia’s 5302 total yards in 2010.
5.) Giovanni Rivera’s 2304 yards rushing last year included six games over 200 yards and two over 300. Rivera returns this year for Sierra Vista.
6.) Matt Kemp is 12 home runs and eight stolen bases away from going 40-40.
7.) The last time San Dimas played at Citrus College was December 12, 2009 when the Saints beat Monrovia 12-7 to win the CIF Championship. San Dimas returns to Citrus Thursday night September 1 against Bonita in the Smudgepot.
8.) Of Jim Thome’s 600 home runs, none were hit as a member of the Dodgers. Thome spent 17 games with the Dodgers in 2009.
9.) Covina HC Darryl Thomas will be live on the Mid Valley Sports Show Monday night August 22.
10.) Mid Valley coverage area players Brandon Sermons (Diamond Ranch), Todd Golper (Arcadia), Albert Cid (West Covina), Mike Harris (Duarte) and Sean Sheller (Walnut) are all on the roster at UCLA.
