arcadia stopped st francis’ run game ( were beaten deep for TD due to blown coverages)
they stopped monrovia’s deshawn ramirez ( only had like 40 yards rushing as a team)
and SHUT OUT MUIR ( defense didnt allow one TD the whole game)

i dont see how you can say they cant stop ppl. the big test is tomorrow vs burroughs and their amazing ground game. Arcadia is unstoppable on offense and i dont see west covina matching up with them. south hills never had a carr, legace, haines, mcelwee COMBO! how do you defend this? about the pressure on myles, we all doubted the offensive line before the season started asking if they were tough and big enough but i believe myles and the coaches help that situation out gettin myles rolled out of the pocket and having alot of 3 step throws. MYLES CARR IN 4 GAMES ONLY SACKED 5 times ( 2 of those were missed snaps where carr had to jump on the ball)

    arcadia wins 41-28

west covina has a good run game but arcadias defense is one of the best in the valley! it takes a team to win a game not just lagace and carr. you might want to re-think your comments..

Great match-up. Even as an Arcadia fan, I don’t see their defense being strong enough to stop West CO and that powerful run game. West CO 34 Arcadia 21

Great Match up, Arcadia has some impressive games under their belt, don’t know if Muir was disoriented because of the loss of their coach that day but 42 to 7 is a pretty good beat down on Muir even in a down year. I believe it took St. Francis a last minute field goal to beat Arcadia, that say’s a lot for the Apaches, if they played tonight I think both teams are close, if WC plays like I think they are capable of I think it will be tough for anyone in the division to beat them, if they turn the ball over, or make mental mistakes like blown coverages or not staying home on play action then Arcadia will make them pay the price.
I’m with Bulldog on this, West Covina by a few points.

It’s interesting when people say WC is one dimensional. We run the ball, it’s what we do. Everybody knows it’s coming, yet they still can’t stop us from doing it. So it’s not that we cannot pass the ball, it’s that we have not really needed to pass. Against Covina we had over 200 yards passing against a pretty talented Covina secondary anchored by Venegas , De La Cruz etc.

We sprinkle in some spread packages and an occasional screen pass here and there for some effective yardage. And if we get the ball outside to Solomon or Frazier against a single corner without a safety bracketing that side, it’s going to be a big play.

Arcadia kind of reminds me on offense of South Hills. Big time reciever and QB, just no RB the caliber as Hart, but still a balanced attack. We took away SHill’s running game and made them pass. If we can do the same to the Apache offense, hopefully our pass rush can force Carr into some mistakes.

It is a dream match up, and would be an old fashioned shootout!

    WC 42 Arcadia 38

this is the match up everyone wants to see and its hard to pick a winner at this point in the season. But ill say this : if arcadia has trouble this weekend stoping the running game of zander anding then how the heck will they stop SOLOMAN. but if they can stop a solid running game WEST CO is to one dimensional and ARCADIA can score on any derense. bottom line this is a dream match up for football fans in the SGV
