Scheduling up isn’t really that hard. Whittier Christian did it. Played Esperanza, which was in the top 25 In the OC. Played them tough too. La Habra did it. Scheduled three Trinity League teams this past season. All Monrovia has to do is make a couple of calls. Really, it’s time. There isn’t anyone in that division that can compete with them.
Ellis is venturing in to a whole new world. Good luck to him.
Also, word is that CIF will be leaving Monrovia in the Mid-Valley Division. So, looks like they’ll stay in the little pond. Monrovia needs to put a team like La Habra, Bosco, Poly, etc. on their schedule. They need to try to swim with the big boys. Personally, I think they can, but the only way they can prove it is to STEP UP!!!! C’mon Monrovia………
I read that “Zeus” was ejected from the All American Bowl game Saturday in the 3rd quarter because he was frustrated at being double teamed all game. I thought he was used to that by now. Welcome to D1 football. Not the big fish in the little pond anymore.

Scheduling up is not that simple. Imagine being one of the so called Big Boys, who loses to a lower division (XI) team.
