Joey Harmon Transfers to Arcadia

(Arcadia) – Joey Harmon, the starting quarterback for South Pasadena last year as a sophomore, has transferred to Arcadia Apache assistant Eric Elias confirmed Wednesday night.

“He did really well today today for us at San Gabriel vs. San Gabriel, San Marino and South Pas,” Elias said.

Harmon led the Tigers to a 6-4 record last season and a 3-2 mark in the Rio Hondo. At Arcadia he will be competing with Zach Yee for the starting job. Yee has been taking a majority of the snaps for Arcadia during the passing circuit.

RHL fan: we actually have some talented receivers this season, but again, to use them, Harmon would have to throw the ball.

    SP Tiger Fan,

i’m not doubting your story, but if that’s true that’s ridiculous. harmon was the only true weapon on that team.

heard that SP HC and the family could not come to agreement on how much Harmon would be allowed to throw the ball in the upcoming season.

For 50 years, every season Monrovia coaches knew they had at least one big regular season game on their hands – and that was the guaranteed war when the Widcats met the Temple City Rams.
The distance apart the two programs have traveled, is either a source of joy or a sad reflection of what once was, depending on what colors you bleed.

still true though. monrovia doesn’t have much competition really from the rhl now. their biggest game in the rhl will have to be from san marino, and maybe, just maybe LC.

without harmon though, SP’s kinda dead in the water. before I had them third in the rhl standings, but now i have them at four, or even five if LC a win and TC a maybe.

We Love the Crest, I am a Monrovia parent and am definitely not full of myself. How are you even sure it was a Monrovia parent that posted that comment? I tell my son all the time to be humble, as you never know how a game is going to turn out. You win some, you lose some. I could call you a typical Monrovia hater because you dare to say what a “typical” Monrovia parent is when there are hundred’s of Monrovia parents and I would bet the average parent is not like the average blogger. I don’t post on these blogs but you offended me with your assumption snf I just had to this time.

Typical “standard” Monrovia parent, so full of themselves! Why don’t we just hand you the trophy now and you can go sit in the corner by yourselves since you don’t know how to play nice with the other boys.

Would like to know if these recent transfers are based on moving into school district territory. CIF hasn’t completed approving or implementing 30 day rule have they? Hope “athletically motivated transfer” doesn’t pop up at the end of league play causing forfeiture of games.

    Sucks for South Pas.
Arcadia coaching will smooth out the rough spots.
