Can anyone beat Monrovia?….I hope they play Arroyo in the first round…The head coach at Arroyo is Great coach, some one to be respected. However his assistants coaches are greasy, and need a cleansing for their transgressions. The better pray then don’t get that draw. You might see a 74-0 score.

    MVS STAFF,
Im just saying, Covina is probably not better than the top 3, I say them and San Dimas are about even, and definitely better than your #5 – #10, hands down.. U guys will see shortly.. They scrimmage South Hills on the 17th.. Watch out because they do have some size and talent..

I herd a lot about the south el monte D and there sick with Jerry Valencia, Pablo Ocegeda, Eric Garcia, the returning corners Aaron Saavedra, Alex Acosta. Those guys are going to do some real damage this year and i heard about there D-line all over 6 feet with speed and power every O-line in the league better watch out. And there offense is great with most of there line returning. And the dual of Fernando Ramirez and his go to guy Javier Machuca this guys are gonna make some serious noise.

This whole squad is amazing. This team will take league and make a big jump for the C.I.F Title

RHLFAN and Moor: you guys are funny. any win SP gets is due to other team screwing up. we play Monrovia tight for three quarters and score most points of any RHL team against them and its because the Cats are unmotivated. SM got their tails kicked by Monrovia 43-7 a couple weeks before our game. ha ha.

    MVS STAFF,

Exactly my point. Heck even I had Monrovia over Covina, and Im a Covina homer.
The trib staff has “some” football smarts… CTOWN will roll over El Monte again this year at CDF, As for Alhambra, they were simply AWFUL… SEM was the most inpressive out of those 3 teams. Those kids played with alot of heart….

From MVS Staff: In 2010 we took Village Christian over Azusa (The Trib guys had Azusa). That same year we took Muir on the road against La Mirada. Cut us some slack please. :)

I love the fact that Covina beat El Monte and Alhambra by a combined 100 pts or so, and they are still ranked in the top 10. Covina did lose alot, but those JV kids that went in to play in the 3rd qtr were still doing things against both those teams,
The fact WC is not ranked #1 in Southeast tells me all I need to know about your guys football smarts… Midvalley staff im talking about….

From MVS Staff: We didn’t pick Covina over Monrovia in last season’s semis. The Trib guys did that.

I love it, everyone hates SP til we beat them, then they really hate us. Moor, my recollection is our D beat you, last minute INT by your QB spoke volumes to our shutdown Defense. and for the rest of you RHL homies, I believe WE scored the most points against Monrovia of any RHL team.

    everyone else spoke for me.

but to drive home the point lets do it ourselves. i will give you SP’s pass offense last year. but harmons gone, so thats over with

run offense. SP’s offensive line had very little in being able to move defensive lines around. and on an offensive scale overall: you were barely able to score outside of glendale, hoover, and a monrovia team that didn’t care anymore. your defense backed up your lackluster offense

run defense: let’s point out your game against SM, a game i was at because i believed that it would be the game of the week, your homecoming, a rivalry, and a chance for second in the rhl. it turned out to be a sm running fest, with them being able to run all over south pas. and it will only get worse with a decent jv team last year and the loss of many key players such as magill.

pass defense: lackluster. passing games this summer have not been very impressive. very true as well with the la canada game. that definitely was not a showing of your skill, rather, the poor accuracy and awareness of LC’s qb.
