7. Norwalk QB Ausencio Navarro III goes 7 of 11 for 117-yards with a touchdown and interception in his first game a victory over Mayfair 21-13.
8. San Marino 4-1 at Monrovia 4-1 open Rio Hondo league play on October 10th.
9. On this date in 1995 OJ Simpson is acquitted by a jury of his peers.
10. Two baseball greats share birthdays today Dave Winfield (63) and Dennis Eckersley (60).
