@op. Does it really matter what division they were in last year? They will end up dropping down this upcoming season. That being said they would still beat most teams in the SGV except for the teams I named.

So basically we agree because those were the same teams I had mentioned previously…..
There great groups of kids families and coaching in the high desert…

@oilerparent: They might have played D8 teams but since they are placed in D3 playoffs they are a D3 team.

And they were 1 and done….the new CIF alignment really did a number on them.Honestly being in that program and having a cifss championship in 2015 and regional bowl game I’d say they would fair better in div 6

Oak Hills went 8-3 in D3. They would beat anyone in the SGV except for Amat, La Mirada, La Serna and maybe Los Altos. Don’t underestimate any of those IE/HD teams.

Oak Hills is a lot better than you think. i agree with cmon man. They would beat up on most sgv teams.

Oak Hills is a great program with great kids and I still have friends and family there…
The cupboard is far from bare… They return 3 1st team All-Leaguers, including the QB and one of the most dynamic players in the valley in DB/WR/RB Anthony Lopez. The JV was 8-2′ and was 23 seconds away from being 9-1 and league champs. The Frosh were league champs, and feature a kid who as a freshmen, is bigger and faster than Nevens was as a freshmen. We all know LA lifts weights with the best of them, the kids know how to work regardless of who the coach is. The next guy will be able to hit the ground running! LA will be competive next year, maybe not finalists again like in 2014 & 2016, but they will bring the lumber and have a shot in every game!

@oilerparent
That’s because your son played at Oak Hills before he transferred to Montebello.

Oak Hills and Serrano are far from Low Level football. Both would give any team in the SGV, save for maybe Amat, a run for their money. Just this year, Serrano played La Serna and lost by a TD, and Oak Hills has played Mission Viejo competitively the last two years. I think those guys are okay!

I said
Oak hills
Serrano
Is lower level
Than la mirada Rancho upland la Serna
I know both oak hills and Serrano programs very well ;0)
If that is true, does Mooney get another shot at either SEM or TC as HC?
Los Altos is going to struggle the next couple years even if Nick Saban was coaching! The talent is all gone, they are really bare
SEM Frank Gallardo got the job. I think this will set LA back 6 years, back to the days of 0-10 and 1-9.
From T. Peterson: No Gallardo didn’t get the job. He didn’t even apply and is not interested. I talked to him this morning and will post something on it later.
@ MVS where is the West roster??????????
Just curious as to when the high desert became part of the SGV…..

SGV All Star Game? What a joke. I liked it better when every school in the valley had a representative. I will never go watch this game. The High Desert has a large school and small school game. Maybe SGV should consider that.

You obviously don’t know about football….(think before you speak/type)
High desert Teams
Oak hills
Serrano
Hesperia
Sultana
Apple valley
Those are lower level in comparison to Rancho Cucamonga upland la Serna la mirada etc …..
