Best football coach ever. I think the Lumbardy trophy should be renamed to the Belichick trophy when it’s all said and done(retires in 5 years with 2 more super bowls championships)
Every high school with 9 baseball players fields a team. One great player can carry a whole team. No crazy expensive equipment, you can be small and compete and you only need one coach as your teammate can help on the bases. Maybe 25,000 teams. Baseball toughest team sport to get recognition.
@In Perspective, you can’t compare the NFL to college or high school football. Only 2.3% of high school seniors end up playing D1 football and 6.6% total in all of college football. Less than 1% of all college players make it in the NFL. The NFL conist the best of the best. The same is true with all professional sports.
Goodell said on Sunday to Patriots owner Kraft “you know how difficult it is to win this trophy.” I thought about that, then did some quick research to find that while there are 32 teams in the NFL, there are 119 in division one college, and a whopping 14048 in the eleven-man High School category. Since each professional team has only thirty-one other teams standing in their way of hoisting the trophy, is an NFL championship as tough to win as a collegiate or High School national championship?
