Amen lol
@Vikes
Yawn !!!! No one cares. All that recruiting has gotten you nothing. Now Comstock is in his senior year and you have no title. Better win o ne this year. Because once he’s gone you become irrelevant.
You’re right, Medrano’s teams aren’t built for 7 on 7, they are built for 11 on 11 full pads real football. These tournaments are needed as a learning tool for skill players, but line play is 90% of the equation. trust me when I tell you no Del Rio league team is lighting up the passing circuit…
Every year people come on the blogs and complain/talk crap about Medrano’s offense during 7 on 7 whether it’s at El Rancho or Bonita. And every year come season time it produces results.
You heard wrong!
Yeah I heard cal is doing pretty solid as well
What’s up with Northview, where they missing some guys?
Lmao
I was there also, although I do kind of agree with what you’re saying, a lot of the kids were fighting and going hard, but got dejected when facing these super athletic teams with far more height and speed. If you’ve never watched ER before the underneath route is often available, in a 7 on 7 it won’t net you much.. Lakewood, Northview, Culver City and Pomona all teams built for 7 on 7 who ER struggled with.. final point I wish ER did a lot better, but we’ve never been a super good 7 on 7 team, in 2015 when we were smashing teams in 7 on 7 we ended the season 1-9…
Watched ER on a hot Saturday afternoon. Players looked and acted bored with the whole process. After the opening series they played like scoring was the furthest thing from their minds. Two yard passes on last play left them 10 yards short. Average completion was 3 yards. Maybe their was some sort of teaching lesson going on but there was nothing being learned here. I don’t see wasting 500$ to go to Bonita next week if trying to win is not on the agenda. Better to spend the money on a pizza party or a dancing competition. Now that is what most of these players would rather be doing.
Wrong about Cal
3 TDs? What game were you watching
DelRio,
Unless you are CV and do the Passing League circuit I doubt there is such a thing as “lighting up” summer passing league. But lets take a look:
La Serna: Took there 3 week break early, so it is not them you are talking about
Santa Fe: Won the Warren Tournament but lost to Nogales at the Ranch, sounds very inconsistent!
El Rancho: There own fan base is saying they are all not on the same page, so its not them.
Whittier: I’ve seen Whittier throw three different times and they are very young and are not lighting anything up.
Cal: I’ve seen them throw a couple times as well, very inconsistent on offense and defense, at times they look good and other times its like the kids don’t want to be there.
Pioneer: …..
@PR
I’m not that crazy lol
Maybe two or three during the summer is cool, but every week!? I could have a good day with zero rush.
Pioneer? Lmao
there is a del rio team lighting up the passing circuit that will catch teams by surprise.
How come you didnt post any pictures of Garfield? Lmao!
1st drive with starting QB vs Los Altos 3 TD were scored, then he didn’t take another snap the rest of the day and things changed…
ER looked good vs Los Altos???
Playing against Montclair and Los Altos we looked good like we didn’t miss a beat from last year. Playing teams like Culver City will sure make us look pretty crappy though, that team is loaded.
ER is just not clicking right now. They look like they are on different pages. I said that the other day watching them that they were not in sync. Even without the QB taking snaps. Coaches are solid coaches. You know they have some playmakers. Just not clicking on all cylinders. Medrano will course correct and they will be okay.
We need kids to stop quitting on plays just because we’re not winning. We had a few flashes, were very young but have some experience… In ER’s defense they faced Lakewood, Northview, Culver City and Pomona all teams with height built for 7 on 7. I watched Santa Fe and Idk what the hype is, just a bunch of individuals looking miserable playing in a toxic environment.
El rancho sure puts on a well run and organized tournament. Great job guys.
ER did not look very good overall. They had some good moments but need more guys to step up. But Santa Fe? I’m glad my kid isn’t in a environment like that. The way those players were talking to the coaches and the coaches just stood there and took it. To me it doesn’t matter If Santa Fe has a good season or not because that team has no respect. None of our players would talk to a coach like that and if they did it would probably be the last time they are on the team.
Nice to see Alhambra in the throwing circuit
Boy oh boy LS looked terrible. How does a team with a D-1 players lose to Nogales? D-13 and squeak by D-13 South El Monte who basically threw the ball to one kid the whole time? The Del Rio is looking more and more like a LS ER battle. Santa Fake is too much hype not enough coaching too muck talk on social media not enough action. How’s third gonna taste Santa Fake?
Culver City, Pomona, Lakewood, CV all just too much size for some of these local 5’9 DB’s in these 7 on 7s. Frankly I’m tired of 7 on 7. I did watch Santa Fe get worked by Nogales.
Culver City hands down the most athletic talented team
out there. Fantastic back n forth battle between Culver City
and Crescenta valley in the finals
7 on 7’s have turned into throwing jump balls to the biggest mismatch. How this translates with a rush, rerouting linebackers and tackling remains to be seen. I think this stuff is way overblown and has had its day. Go back to punt, pass and kick competition.
Santa Fe head coach that’s the problem.
I mean no disrespect to Nogales, their kids played tough but I do not want to hear about how great Santa Fe is “going” to be! With all that “talent” they get eliminated by Division 13 Nogales who didn’t make the playoffs! What a joke…Santa Fe’s whole coaching staff needs to be fired! Especially Romeo, he is there to recruit and can’t even do that right. Oh how quickly that program has fallen! The Del Rio League will go thru La Serna again!
