Speak for yourself @reality check. We have not only some great kids in the program but supportive parents as well. Are you defining ghetto because people live in Pico or Montebello? Sad if your life is all about high school football. We will support our kids no matter what.

Let me set the record straight, ER is 4-2 all time over Schurr. 2000, 2001, 2002 And 2003 were victories over Schurr. 2003 Playoff game and 2009 Playoff game were victories by Schurr. 2009 ER flopped into the playoffs and lost 14-7. I’m sorry but do your research ER and LS have pretty much been the cream of the Del Rio this decade. ER is like 15-2 this century over your arch nemesis Montebello who happens to be 4 time league champ with a 20+ League winning streak. Remember when Schurr came to the ranch in 2014 to scrimmage? ER scored 10 TD to 0. If you want video of it I’ll link it and show you, ER also happened to put up half a hundred on Montebello that season who you happened to lose to also. I find it hilarious that your fan base wants to throw shots and worry about the ranch when you got Montebello to worry about this week. I’ll finish with this, ER is building up a powerhouse, Schurr is shooting it’s load this season because there is nothing left, be careful though you might end up 2nd place to the oilers again. We know your recruiter is trying to come into Pico and recruit kids, that might work with the non Pico kids, the majority though are heading to the ranch.

It wasn’t a trick play, it was a heads up play by young high school kid using his head to make a play to try and win the game. Which he obviously did. I’ll get back to you after the Whittier game to see the outcome.

Well I’m glad you can admit that ER hasn’t beaten Schurr since either of us can recall.. Schurr owns ER and if the game came up again Schurr would beat ER again. Don’t know what your point is about the schedules ??? 1-9 is nothing to applaud because you played a so called tough schedule…… trust me your schedule is not tough and winning 1 game is not good by any means. Yay you’re competitive now, not good, just competitive. But when it comes down to it head to head Schurr whips that don behind back to Passons.

lets be realistic, if ER played that cupcake schedule schurr plays every year…. of course we would never have a 1-9 season.. or 0-10 season… but im not going get into a if and buts with you … all im gonna say is schurr hasnt been able to keep up with ER since the days of my boy jesse ramirez! lol .. and ill take that loss bc they had a great team those couple years.. but as of today…. cmon get real, your in the Almont league, we are Del Rio …. if that doesnt bring you down to reality… lets look at how a LUCKY trick play got you to barely win against our league bottom feeder Whittier (no disrespect to them but lets be honest) …Whittier and even Pioneer have legimitate shots at beating shurr lol… and your 100% correct, ER hasnt beaten schurr in such a long time bc why would we waste our time on schurr…. This thread has nothing to do with ER but a Schurr fan threw our team out there and the Dons faithful defended their program in a positive way. I’m not sure how that’s ghetto? No on from ER was even posting until The Fan stirred the pot.

Is Medrano a hard a$$? Sure he is. But what’s wrong with expecting kids to be at practice? He’s loyal to the players who work the hardest. Sometimes the best athletes don’t work that hard or never show up to practice unexcused so he cuts ties. Not sure how that’s being a hard a$$.
Does he know football? That’s a definite yes! He gets the most out of his players. Example, we all know that some of Montebello’s top players have Pico ties and look at the score of that game. Lots of ER people were worried because they knew Montebello had guys who were youth studs and ER didn’t. This year’s class only won 2 games as freshmen and they are competing now. Let year’s freshmen team went 2-8 and those same kids are now 4-2 as JV players. That’s called improvemen. Medrano might be tough but he’s loyal to the guys who are in his program.
I never thought the QB would be having the season he is having right now but he worked hard to understand the system and never quit or said Medrano was too hard on him. In return, Medrano stuck it out with him when he struggled early on. The coaches have higher expectations for the players then the players have for themselves and that leads to strong culture and players who believe in themselves.

This was not a knock at the ranch or the program but from personal experience and from personal experience of others who are not currently playing and ones opinion. I think El rancho is good and had good kids as well as parents. I think all the players are really good. In my opinion coach medrano is too much of a hard ass. Does he know football? I believe so? The are doing great and have a bright future ahead. They should definitely make a run for league champs or co-league champs. Ain’t no one stirring the pot but at the end of the day if some of the boys end up at whittier, la serna or santa fe or schurr? Its their choice for whatever reason it is just like you and your kids are having a great experience at the ranch right now. Everyone is entitled to do what they need to do? It is What it is and that’s a fact! It’s cats like you that give Pico a bad rap. Pay attention my boy and fyi I’m staying in the southeast, no affiliation with schurr.

Schurr hasn’t had a 1 win season ever in their history. Somebody mentions the ranch and you hop all over it like the ghetto parents in Montebello and Pico do. Yes I mention Montebello parents too their ain’t much difference. But fyi Schurr would be a better destination than El Rancho
@thefan is trying to stir the pot. If that’s what you need to get your kicks then go for it. My son is a Junior and is busting his tail for his teammates, the program and Coach Medrano. Ask Bonita fans and they will tell you they would love to have Medrano back. So either you have an agenda against Coach Medrano or you have some serious jealousy issues.

If that’s the case, the we can only wish them the best of luck… I always strongly encourage kids to go where they will play… I hate seeing or hearing kids not play a sport they love and want to play. They need to have fun , especially in HS … I’m sure no one is going to give them grief over it … if they don’t want to play here then so be it … good luck at your next school … still wish the best… but at ER , right now more than ever we have ppl kids parents that are buying in to the program and staying on tract., no need to have distractions… your in or your not.

All Adrian Medrano has managed to do is come in and rebound from a 1-9 season to a changed culture, increased football numbers, a quarterfinal appearance and 5 All-CIF players. I can imagine what he would do with an all world freshmen class like the one Schurr got In 2014. You Schurr people are barking up the wrong tree and I urge you to stay in your lane, stay in Montebello and worry about the Oilers because as far as I know they are still 4 time champs.
@the ranch18- sorry to be the bearer of bad news bus but I was talking about the jr class. And yes several of them are leaving. There is several kids not playing but enrolled in school. They don’t want to play for medrano. They do miss playing and are gonna play…just not at the ranch and definitely not for medrano. Why is there not good players playing for the ranch that are enrolled? Had discussion with several parents who’s boys played and are not currently playing…they want to play but NOT for medrano. They are definitely leaving! All had the same reason…coach medrano. Good luck to the ranch! Wish the boys we know the best and a great year!

The best thing that happened to the Dons is the Indians leaving the Jr. All American Conference. Montebello owned them.
I raised 3 boys in Pico, all attended the ranch 2 have degrees and 1 working on it. So far it truly has been great to my kids.
I hope they open the gates earlier this year i went a couple of yrs ago and the line was crazy!
And Pico Rivera is a great place to raise kids….lmao!!!

TCW has a bunch of kids that are not even from Pico and still might end up at the ranch, and there is maybe only 1 prdon going to schurr, majority of that legendary team is STAYING HOME and going to TheRanch! watch out for next years freshman team…. gonna be BEAST. ER is on the rise!
Mykeal Loera is a DON… at heart, his play, he is and always will be a DON… its unfortunate he wasn’t given the option to stay a Don like he wanted. im still hoping all the kids that didnt enroll freshman year to ER , come back before HS career is over… this is why im glad to see ER having a larger influence on youth… keep the kids home.
If you’re referring to the TCW kids not many are even from Pico so they wouldn’t be ranch kids anyway. If you’re talking about kids leaving the ranch for Schurr I can assure you that’s not happening, there are far better destinations than Schurr and ER is building something special…
