Jude took “win the day” from u$c coach Sneaky Pete Carrol, who took it from Chip Kelly at Oregon at the time. Coincidence ? I don’t think so. Majority of $c people are shady af… in Jude’s case… even fake $c people are shady.However, the truth always comes to light. Sad to see Schurr sell its soul for this db.

Again…all student/athlete’s are cleared by cif and their names are posted for all to see who is cleared. That means In lame man’s terms(for you) cif looked into the matter and deemed it bona fide. Or they would not have been cleared otherwise? This goes for all schools. Cif will do what they need to do period. And of they take action on any given day or year then so be it. No one is worried except you. Please don’t post if you don’t have an education above the 8th grade level.
BG is the heavy favorite. They have a coach that has actually won something before and the best QB in the league. That along with an offensive line primed for a big year and league will be ours. Plus two transfers no one is talking about will be here soon. Championship.

@cif compliance-it’s just a topic on a message board. Just like the Kardashians trending. All transfers are cleared on the cif website for all to see! Go and read the cif website to see the players cleared. All member schools govern and have a vote. Do you have any idea how many member schools have transfers? You sound like the same clown saying ” all the Baldwin park transfers”or the other clown saying “the only good transfers from cantwell are the all league cathedral guys” when it was a transfer from bishop amat at via salesian and the other from la serna who represented in the all star game! That just shows you fools have no idea what’s going on? You need to sit down and focus somewhere or read a book? …shut your mouth when grown folks are talking!

The trouble I have, is when the coach reuses the same slogan ,at a different campus in the same league , the feelings are from a character with loyalty and similar beliefs to that repeated by many commenters on the platform

How about allowing transfers in cases where a student/athlete’s family moves from one school district to another, and in a small number of extenuating circumstances? (Those circumstances could include serious domestic problems and a player’s school suddenly dropping a sport.)
In addition, I’ve long favored setting up leagues AND playoff divisions for private high schools that are completely separate from those established for public schools. (Private schools frequently have smaller enrollments, and they’re not subject to attendance boundaries like those on the public side are.)
Whatever the rules are—or whatever they become—they should be enforced equally for everyone. Isn’t that a novel concept?

Why does some people mention Cathedral when Transfers are mentioned. There are a lot of school’s who let in anybody to win. How about Calabasas 2 year’s ago 30 Transfers for Football alone. Mater Dei 54 Transfers for all sports. St. John Bosco and Oaks Christian with a ton of Kids every year. Even Arroyo and Northview have Transfers . I think everyone should look in The Mirror.
To FB fan, What has La Mirada done of Late? Zero. Cathedral let’s in 4-5 Kids a Year. la Mirada had 50 Transfers for Football over a 3 year period that’s why you won.

@ Oilers now and forever, the sad truth is the whole league is so down compared to 35 years ago when making it to the semifinals actually was a real accomplishment in the SGV. Not sure what needs to be done but MHS, Schurr and BG need to bring some pride back to this league. A lack of respect between coaches and programs speaks volumes about everyone.
Who cares about Cantwin Transfers. The only guys that were any good were The Two kids that made All League in D13 For Cantwin. They Transferred from Cathedral where they never saw the field.

Time for a change you say? Oiler Pride? What do you know about Oiler Pride. In the last 5 years Montebello has won 4 of the League Titles, played in the first round of playoffs, 3 quarter final appearances and a Semi-Finals appearance (btw first semi appearance like in 35 years). Only change we need is you to go hide somewhere. We need to get rid of you not our coach. Pretty Schurr he only worries about our kids. Thanks again coach for all the League titles in the last 5 years.
CIF does not care about transfers. They make it easier and easier for kids to transfer every year. Recruitment is getting crazy. These kids heads are getting way too big making them nightmares for their college coaches, if they are lucky enough to even make it that far. CIF needs to make it tougher. Kids should be allowed 1 transfer without a sit out period and thats it. No more bouncing around school to school chasing a championship. Most of the time it doesn’t work. Look at Cathedral. They have won zero championships. They sure did great on 7 on 7 though lol. Make a decision and live with it. Parents need be held accountable as well. Finding the best deal for their kid. Its pathetic. Go to a school because you love the place. Not because you are being promised something. If you don’t start, you probably aren’t good enough. Work harder.
I hope they DO drop the hammer on transfers ASAP. Coach what is standing in front of you.

@ Anonymous, wow you really broke some news. Unfortunately we all know by know Petay behind the calls and complaints. Kids wont play for him so he’s going to take his ball and go home. Not a true Oiler so how we suppose to expect him to understand Oiler Pride. Instead of coaching up his own kids we see him on campus up on The Hill worried about what they doing. Time for a change. Shame to those few assisants on his staff that are real Oilers for going along with it. Sad times at MHS until they make a change.
CIF about to drop the hammer on transfers across the board private public, D-1 or D-12, you heard it here first.
Come play for us we will always make the playoffs. We always get third place in league and get ko the 1st round.

They are some good coaches in the valley, but you are right, not many great coaches. When you get a great one, you will know right away. The problem with great coaches is the administration can not recognize them and make bad decisions. We see it every year.

Whittier, Bishop Amat, Montebello, South El Monte, El Monte, Downey, etc are all holding youth camps inviting every 8th graders to work out why are you so concerned with Schurr and their coaches. This is not a violation of any CIF rules, I don’t get your obsession with this school. Hahaha if their coaches are mediocre let them be, so are 90% of the rest of the Area staff.

Everybody who posts a comment on these boards is trying to ‘recruit’ readers to their way of thinking. Makers of the video games Tim talks about do their best to ‘recruit’ kids to buy their products. Most men and women performed an act of recruitment in snagging a romantic partner. It’s called salesmanship people…it’s a major part of life, and it surely went on in some hidden form long before these camps appeared.
If your kid attends this camp, and decides against considering Schurr as a place to play, the worst that can happen is that he got some exercise and learned a couple of ways to play better football. Does that sound ominous?

We will follow up with you and see if we can convince you to attend our school. He gets to runs some drills and coached up and bit for free, you have nothing to lose…
