When this is clearly not pop Warner football where your son was once a stud in pico..stay in yo lane buddy let Coach Brown coach

@LA Football We chased out a good coach (Spatt and crew) who lead us to the playoffs when no one expected us to we 2 games, parents complained cause the coaching staff was not always here. Now we have coach Brown who is doing his best with what we have despite losing a couple key players who could of helped this year. Stop being that negative parent who emails coaches and athletic directors cause your son didnt make the Varsity team…oh wait you are that dad who did that

Idc what the LA parent on here had said in a past blog, that Reyes kid that left could of helped us alot he was a solid DB and a really good RB it is what it is I wish him well and overall we looked good.

@Rider Coach Brown and his staff have a history of acting like that during tournaments. When he was the HC at Cantwell, I remember him and his assistants getting in the face of the refs at the Mountain View tournament and dropping F Bombs left and right. I can’t believe he’s still at it. Terrible!

Los Altos HC Travis Brown acted like a total horses a$$. Argued calls, whined, and dropping F bombs on the “refs” was a total embarrassment to the program. Thought Los Altos was better than that.

Better break .500 this year coach or you might be pounding pavement! Your name isn’t that good around the area, so you really should try harder to make it work at LA. You have no plan B!

I heard a rumor, I don’t believe it’s true, I hope for their sake it’s not. Please, somebody say if it is. Please I need a laugh. The team that won the consolation bracket at the El Rancho passing league tournament; the Schurr Spartans. They lost to a third rate Division 14 team from the MVL the Mountain View Vikings. MVS has their team picture up on their site. If it’s true who did they beat to win it, Workman and Bassett? Hey it’s just 7 on 7 from a team that runs the double wing.

Pretty fun tournament over all. It’s well run with very little down time. One thing I noticed is just how skilled high school football players are these days. I played receiver in high school then at Mt Sac (SacDoggs) Then on to the great Dubuque Iowa. These kids use skill and techniques that I only learned at Sac and beyond. It’s Incredible to watch. Another Note, Northview is loaded at the skill spots Los Altos has a real stud in Rene Zaldivar he’s gonna be a stat machine. Diamond Ranch is gonna be a team to be reckoned with for sure! Arroyo looked like more than just a rebuilding team. It’s probably not gonna be enough to unseat Booth and the lions but it should fun. Two other teams from the MVL were present, and let’s just say it’s probably gonna be a long year for those two teams. At least the Vikings are used to it. But the Eagles sure have fallen off… drastically! I tried really hard to find a bright spot but could not find anything or maybe it’s because I’m comparing them to Northview and Los Altos CV and those type of teams. Time will tell all. Good luck this season.

@ One of the many people who wish to remain anonymous out there:
I saw Eric Bergstrom on the practice field just a couple of weeks ago. As far as I know, he’s still the head football coach at Alhambra High. Why wouldn’t he return following an 8-2 season?
AHS will have a younger team this year; we’re hopeful that the guys will be up to the challenges which lay ahead of them in the coming months.

They definitely didn’t take it to Monrovia. Way I saw it they were given the tie at the end of the game with a last min td. Bad officiateing on that game and the entire day I might add. That is one of the games I caught. Love this tournament but I wouldn’t like to play in it. Honestly some of those Arroyo refs have an agenda. Yeah I said it!!! Seriously some of the calls I witnessed, as a coach I would of flipped out completely. You guys aren’t fooling anyone anymore. Funny thing is you guys are even poking fun at it saying “he didn’t miss a call all day” aka he had BAD calls all day and he knew it! Especially the ones I saw from that game. (horrible) Don’t get me started on the other games I witnessed. Good lord!!!!
From T. Peterson: What calls specifically did he miss? I’ll wait…

You sound like a salty coach. Transfers have been going on for years. Don’t blame the coach for recruiting and don’t blame the player for leaving. How about you take a hard look in the mirror and ask yourself what you are doing wrong, that makes all your kids with any talent, want to leave. Once you do that, take the proper action to correct that and stop being salty. I’m almost certain I know who this is too

All the best coaches somehow, someway recruited a kid or two to their schools. Those kids usually would be the star or a factor of those teams. Those are facts, yes developing kids is ideal and all but the world isn’t ideal to what we think is right. Blame the parents for allowing themselves to be fooled and moving their kids around. It’s the parents when it comes down to it…… can you blame a coach for wanting to have better players on his team ? Nope, as humans we always want better. Don’t act like those kids and parents aren’t looking for greener grass.

Our game has to to DELETED. To all you coaches that are out recruiting HS kids to make a name for yourself and win a few games, what are you really winning??? You’re selling your football soul to the devil and losing all integrity for what??? Gone are the days of coaching your team and and developing you talent from their freshman year. Now roll in the free for all state of HS football, you have all these guys that can’t coach their way out of a wet paper bag thumping their chest about who they recruited and how their team is loaded. Let me break it to you, no one cares. You’ve forgotten the REAL reason we do this. It’s for the KIDS, to make a difference, to change lives, to spend 4 yrs developing a young man and showing him anything is possible with hard work. But no, now it’s all about YOU! You who’s low self esteem and weak ego must validate yourself with you coaching accolades (as if that matters) it’s embarrassing really. I got into coaching once I saw how big a difference we can make in these kids lives, now I contemplating exiting because I’m disgusted by what I see. BTW coach if you think I’m talking about you, I AM!
