I’m sure if the stats meant so much Booth and Cueva would have more than 26 carries combined in two games. just cause your reach wasn’t longer than temple city and Arcadia don’t complain now.

It is interesting how Montebello is getting a pass with their tough schedule. Schurr’s schedule with Ramos in the first year was wayyyyy tougher. Montebello gets a pass and Ramos is criticized. Crazy how Schurr is looked at around the area….

It’s in the write up, you should read it. It really paints EM in a great light. No drone needed just good old fashioned reading. Up 40 going for two OMG onside kicks these stat DELETED are truly classic. Schedule softer than ice cream hype videos banging chests lmfao.
Transformation? Really? Come on now the only transformation happening at El Monte is kids from Las Vegas, Paramount, South El Monte, Hacienda Heights etc all coming together wearing lion helmets. Don’t fool yourself about a magical potion Coach c has. Most teams lift all year but what most teams can’t and won’t do is provide housing for some young stud from out of state to come make you look like a great coach. Lmfao. #statsarelife

So how do you know that Arroyo won with class and El Monte started second half with an onside kick? Must have a pretty good drone? Wrong again sir. Wow, you SGV haters are amazing. Sad thing about it, many of you from the same community of El Monte. You should be talking about the transformation of KIDS and a school that is happening at El Monte. Many of the other schools that your kids play for could be having the same success. It’s called HARD WORK! Unfortunately many of you sidelines dads want to think your sons are good enough not to lift weights all year long! It’s a blueprint that’s very basic to follow. I’m sure coach C will be more than willing to share it with you!

I certainly meant no disrespect to the footballers who inhabit the 605 league; indeed I was raised to show mercy toward those who, after years of struggle with little success, have found themselves relegated to life’s lesser stations. I am actually inspired by the fact that programs such as Pioneer exist at all, that they participate and find joy in playing the game.

Years in advance? This isn’t college football. These last two games EM played were signed this offseason. With full knowledge how good they were and bad the other teams were. EM faithfuls are saying the reason why EM had to settle on this weak schedule is because better teams didn’t want to play them. That teams were afraid of the physicality of EM (ahmmmm)
Whatever the point is that EM knew full well they are by far superior to Glenn Sotomayor Eagle Rock all three games were added this season and will play again next year.

No bragging here Arroyo won with class last night putting the entire JV team in for the entire second half against Nogales. Meanwhile El Monte while up 50 points started the second half with an onside kick!!! And went for two points every time they scored. Booth and Cuevas played 3 and a half quarters. Let me ask Coach C,is putting up 78 points worth your integrity? Shameful and disgraceful.
Rosemead keep on truckin we’ll see you soon. Hopefully that rivalry game gets back up.

    All ‘schedule up ” complainers
Schedules are made years in advance of the current season. Usually two year home and home contracts are the norm. Two years ago El Monte was 5-5 with pre-league wins over two teams with 1 win between them.
Schedule up wasn’t what they needed. Enter Booth and now schedule looks very weak. But it was made before he tore up everybody last year. Now they are going to have people not wanting to play them. Just enjoy watching them and quit complaining. I hope they win every game except one.

This thing about Glenn refusing a running clock with the score so lopsided going into the 4th is nonsense….CIF has a rule that overrides any such objection. That being noted, it’s correct to suggest that when any 605 team plays a club from outside its conference, the clock should run at double speed.

Did you really say that Alhambra is the bright spot? Playing lower tier teams won’t do anything for them. MHS is playing the toughest schedule around. Every team that they play pre season is potentially a League Champ. So please don’t discredit the Oilers. Come league time as usual they will be ready. It’s definitely a two man race in the Almont. MHS and BG playing for first and second. Nobody else matters. Btw, MHS could’ve very well won last night. SD is a tough team with tough runners. The ball literally bounced their way yesterday and they capitalized. We will be ready. Believe that!!

Before you run your mouth you should know all the little details about the actual game. Glenn was offered a running clock at halftime they refused. They passed all second half, when they could have run the ball just to run the clock down. THEY DIDNT! 54-6 start of 4th running clock was offered again, they refused. 2nd and 3rd stringers we’re put in and they scored. When they scored, they onside kicked……please stope spreading FAKE news. Stick to your fantasy football league

San Marino is a good for EM even if they are depleted. It’s still a good game. But because they are rebuilding at no fault to the lions they offer a challenge. That’s what EM needs, to be tested to go through some adversity and battle through it. You bring up Eagle Rock being 10-1 it’s a city league. City is horrendous they play Sotomayor 10 times a year. It’s the JV to CIF so that record means nothing to me. Orange Vista will be a solid game and Arroyo might I say might test them. That isn’t enough to prepare a team for a deep run. And what’s the deal with being up 48 points and still having Booth and Cuevas in the game? Stat chasing ! Very clearly C wants be able to say look I have two 1500 plus yard backs and IM. Undefeated. It’s a shame we won’t get to see these two Runningbacks ever truly tested. Just a shame. But enjoy the stats EM.

Last week the EM honkers were all over me for saying they had an easy schedule. They do! If they are in fact, the real deal then what a shame. I would love to see Booth up against a real opponent. Not a 10-1 last year (last year don’t matter) ER city team or a depleted SM team or a lower division OV team. Doesn’t matter anyway. Once his roommate Booth graduates, I bet C is gone too.

    Orange Vista finalist
San Marino signed when Hobbie was there
    Eagle Rock 10-1 last year

I think solid comp even if SM isn’t themselves. And yeah they dropped 78 but it’s not like Glenn was trying to end the game they were onside kicking, throwing. Could of easily ran, ran, ran same for EM with their 3 and 4 RBs and maybe 60-20. But that’s just the offense of it’s going it’s going you’re gonna score. Especially when someone like Reyes is your third RB.

Oh and Booth and Cueva both had 5 touchdowns. I’ll tell you what though this Glenn team would beat that Nogales team Arroyo played. Arroyo got healthy tonight good for them.

    MVL responds…. somewhat.
Arroyo was back to their old tricks dropping 63 points on Nogales. How far have the Nobles fallen. From what I hear Arroyo used a balanced attack usually good from the air but the ground game was just as good.

Mt View. Oh my Vikings the lost to Workman. It just might be a loooong season for the Vikes.

Rosemead looking better ever week beating SG.

Gabrielino beat Contreras not sure who they are but the Eagles shut them out.

South El Monte from what I hear hung tough with Covina for 3 quarters. The turning point came when SEM was fumbled the ball at the 1 yard line Covina returned the ball 60 yards the other way and scored two plays later. Then the flood gates happened. But just like Arroyo, SEM will get on the winning side next week when the Nobles come to town.

Now, I made the trip to Norwalk to John Glenn high school to watch EM play. First off they are the real deal!!! Super talented and very physical. Booth and Cuevas are lightning and lightning. But Glenn did not belong on that field tonight. And despite being up 50 points those EM starters played all but the last 4 minutes of the game. Totally classless if you ask me. They dropped 78 points on an overmatched Glenn team Booth had 4 scores at least and Cuevas had four as well. EM is good make no mistake about that but they haven’t played anyone who can hit back and the sad thing is they’ll only be tested once maybe twice this year. Next up for them is an 0-2 San Marino team that’s a shell of themselves and after that a city league (JV) team in Eagle Rock. Not good competition at all. My thoughts were confirmed tonight this team is chasing stats and are hoping for the path of least resistance. I believe it will catch up to them, might even cost them a ring
