High School Softball Area Top 20

With the final regular season played, it is time for the playoffs.  Many local area teams have a shot to play at Deanna Manning Stadium on June 4th and 5th.

  1. Whittier Christian (20-7) – Heralds finish off the regular season by defeating Village and Valley Christians for Olympic title.
  2. Bonita (22-4-1) – Bearcats end season on a four-game winning streak after stumbling two weeks ago.
  3. La Canada (22-4) – Lady Spartans bats have awakened and that makes them very dangerous come playoff time.
  4. Village Christian (20-5) – Emily Seidel led a pitching staff that allowed all of 34 runs all season.
  5. Glendora (20-5) – Tartans struggle down the stretch and head into the playoffs hoping for a favorable draw.
  6. Schurr (20-6) – Spartans are the Mid Valley Sports Cinderella as they swept the Almont.
  7. La Salle (20-6) – Allie Forillo breaks the Lancer strike-out record in a career and will now be counted on for a deep playoff run.
  8. San Dimas (18-7) – Saints turn season around the last three weeks and take the Valle Vista crown with decisive win against Northview.
  9. Burroughs (17-9) – Indians take the Pacific League title and Heather Haynes has become the ace of the staff.
  10. West Covina (16-7) – Bulldogs have had a week to prepare for opening round playoff game.
  11. Valley Christian (16-8) – Crusaders are one team no one wants to meet in the playoffs with Lina Avila in the circle.
  12. San Marino (16-6) – Titans were on target for being co-champions with five straight shutouts, but lost to South Pasadena on the last day.
  13. Arroyo (19-3) – Knights are the technical MVL champs after South El Monte was awarded a forfeit.
  14. Northview (19-6) – Vikings were humbled by San Dimas for Valle Vista Title.
  15. California (23-6) – Condors swept their way to a Del Rio League title.
  16. Keppel (18-2) –Aztecs didn’t have an answer for up-start Schurr.
  17. South Hills (19-7-1) – Huskies finish the season on a high note with sweep of Rowland.
  18. Mayfield (19-5) – Cubs are Pasadena’s little secret and led by Katherine Clancy.
  19. Crescenta Valley (15-9) – Falcons finished the season on an 11-game winning streak.
  20. Charter Oak (16-12) – Chargers drop finale to Los Altos to get third place finish.
