Was Beltran the guru at La Serna or just a regular guy that had what appears to be amazing talent?
BG almost got over the hump Friday at home but Montebello was just better.

Gold, we aren’t healthy but we’re getting there. But no excuses win or lose. I get what we’re up against but we’ve there before.

My question to you is what’s with SEM losing to Gabrielino? Good win for gabby terrible loss for SEM. What the hell happened?

JP – your an idiot… LS did exactly what it was supposed to do… we didnt give them our best, we had alot of mistakes and just could not get things going … that is credit to LS.

Maverick – you guys got a special team this year… much better than last years and tbh i wont be suprised if you guys go all the way…. i am now a fan of your LB bustos, boy can that boy play….

what i thought was not in character was when your coach put henriquez back in on 4th down to try and get a first down when the game was clearly over… thats a punk move…. and how you guys scored on trick plays ? yea we should have stopped it but really?

either way, we moved on and will put it all on the table next year again! dont think we dont want that del rio tittle …our focus now is take whats left… win out league and take second so we get into playoffs and make a run at CiF

I’m not an ER fan. I’m a Montebello HS parent. All I said was that Qb was definitely good. Yes he’s a small guy but who cares? He plays his DELETED off every play. Any coach would love to have someone like him. He competes every play. Give him some credit. He’s not like you, an exD1 Qb !! Lol. Give the kid some credit.

Alhambra’s triumph over Schurr is not so much a case of the Moors rising, as it is one of the rest of the league being on death watch. Longtime Moors supporters will of course take exception to this finding, but there’s no denying the truth.

With all due respect LeBUMBski, it’s one freaking kid (Booth) All these teams should be ashamed of themselves for whining about 1 kid. So none of these teams can come up with a game plan to stop 1 kid. Especially Arroyo who in past years pumps there chest when beating weak MVL teams. Oh but now El Montes wrong for winning. Get out of The Grand LeBUMBski

What are you talking about Lebowski all these years Arroyo won were with many players whom belonged to El Monte, Mtnview, and South Em. Why didnt anybody complain then. Plus your talking about 1 player obviously Booth whom is not from the city. Only added players are Montoya and Reyes who are born and raised El Monte boys. Week afther week it’s funny how people sit here and complain about this.

Most of you know I don’t talk numbers, with the exception of the scores. I never put down the opposing team.

If any of you read my post on GAME NIGHT Week 6, you know my ties to the Dons.

We at LS respect each and every opponent on the gridiron and play with a culture that’s a team first mentality. We know that any team can have a bad game, including ourselves. The LS motto is “Courage, Character, Commitment”

There are people on this blog disrespecting teams and this is not the character of LS, they are not true LS fans…

I’ve been supporting LS through the good times and bad for over 20 years. This team is special, really special.

  27. October 5, 2019 - 10:33 am | Permalink

EM vs Rosemead was as most thought it would be. Rosemead plays tough, but just is overmatched. Rosemead did put some points up which I was surprised by. EM is gonna be challenged in league

Arroyo dominated the Vikings. A headline that hasn’t changed in quite some time. Arroyo hope you’re healthy for next week.

I was at the Gabrielino vs SEM game. Gabrielino is a tough team but there is no way they should beat SEM, not with these weapons. The SEM offense was non existent in the first half. Except for one drive where QB Mario Zamudio hit a receiver on a 46 yard pass to get them inside the 20. Only to be denied any points. Gabrielino mustered up just enough offense in the first half to go be 7-0 at halftime. SEMs leading rusher Giordano made an appearance in the second rumbling for a 25 yard touchdown run. Gabrielino answered back by blocking a punt while SEM was backed up in its own end zone. Gabrielino recovered the punt at the 5 and scored a play later to go up 14-7. Andrew Munoz then gets on the board with a 23 yard misdirection run. Tying the game 14-14. Then Gabrielino put together a drive! A 7 minute drive! Chris Rodriguez the Gabrielino QB and RB Benneth were grinders! Big play after play. Story of the game was SEMs inability to get off the field giving up multiple 3rd and longs on the final drive. Gabrielino held SEMs leading rusher to 75 yards. SEM is in trouble! They sit at 2-4 and Rosemead and Arroyo are next up. Can the Eagles actually fall to 2-6? This loss was a disaster. Probably knocks out SEM out of the playoffs.

I don’t care if El Monte wins the super bowl this year. That whole community ought to be ashamed of its football team. That’s not El Monte kids running around out there. Without Las Vegas and South El Monte supplying the points, they aren’t the juggernaut they seem to be. I’m disappointed no one else is calling them out. Disappointed, embarrassed for the league and the community, and they frankly should be ashamed.

Alhambra QB Noah Rodriguez: 14/22 for 261 yards and six touchdowns, with no interceptions.
Wide receiver Vito Russell: Four receptions for 171 yards and three TD’s.
Turnovers by the Spartans led to three Alhambra scores.
The Moors have won seven in a row dating back to October, 2018.

I remember when Rosemead use to compete year in and year out. Those days might be behind us. What happened? The new staff and AD cleaned house and now it’s no longer the same. Sometimes change is good but in this case it isn’t working. A once storied football program is now lost.

Give the kid some credit. He plays way bigger then his size. The kid has a lot of heart and he’s a competitor. La Serna gives everyone fits. That might be the dumbest quote so far this year. Maybe you can look in the mirror and dream you were that good..chump!

Mt View was better than expected. They played really freaking tough tonight. The score says otherwise but it’s true. Calvillo played possessed tonight. And the defense was outstanding. Getting some of the injured players back helped but were still not at 100 percent yet. EM you got a fight coming!

Did I read that correctly SEM lost to Gabrielino!! No freaking way!! Oh wait let me guess your RB still ran for 500 yards though right SEM? My how far have you guys fallen.

EM took care of Rosemead. EM is great unbeatable just too good for any us to compete with lol crown they’re asses already nahhhh EM, the MVL title always runs through the Knights, come get some kitties. EM bakes the cake this year! Lol
