(Whittier) – Brandon Elias scored on a two-yard run on the first possession in overtime to lift Don Lugo a 35-28 win over El Rancho Saturday night at Pioneer High School to kick off the 2024 season.

(Montebello, CA) The South Pasadena Tigers and the Schurr Spartans tangled Friday night in the season opener for both teams. It was a tale of two halves as neither team got on the board. The second half was a different story for the Spartans as they put up four unanswered touchdowns and got the win 28-0 at Ken Davis Field on the campus of Schurr High School.

(Baldwin Park) – South Hills racked up 372 yards on the ground and ran over Baldwin Park 52-29 Friday night on the Braves home field. The Huskies had two players with over 100 yards rushing and all seven of their touchdowns were on the ground.

Covina — Charter Oak’s Corin Berry charged his way to a four-touchdown performance Friday night against Canyon at Lou Farrar Field by throwing three touchdown passes and adding a rushing touchdown in the first half, powering his team to a 44-6 win over the Cowboys to start the 2024 campaign.
