With the re-leaguing that took place for 2024 it was time for us to make some adjustments. This year there are 19 different leagues in our coverage area. That doesn’t mean we will cover every team in all 19 leagues but that there are teams that we cover in each league. For instance in the newly formed Mesquite League there are six teams that make up the league but only two that are in our area – Maranatha and Whittier Christian. However in leagues such as the Mission Valley, Rio Hondo and the Almont we cover all six teams in each league. When we say “coverage area” it means game stories for these teams, Top Ten eligibility and they will be mentioned in our weekly “Game Night” and “Scoreboard” Features. The season kicks off Thursday August 22.

(El Segundo) – The Chargers went 5-12 last season. To say they missed the playoffs is an obvious conclusion. The post season was nowhere in sight as the season turned into a disaster.

The Los Angeles Chargers were back at training camp Saturday as part of the NFL’s Back Together Weekend. A sold out crowd was on hand to view the Chargers work through their paces. Here are a few images.

(San Marino) – San Marino defensive end/ offensive lineman Mitch Mooney has committed to Brown University it was confirmed late Thursday night.

“The show must go on, let’s rock!” Damien quarterback Isaiah Arriaza posted on X. “Unfinished business!” Damien linebacker Caden Arellano added, also on the social media site X. These two players may have just saved the season for the Spartans. What could have turned into a train wreck now could be a pleasure cruise.
