(Huntington Beach) – Charter Oak continued its impressive run in the Summer passing circuit with a win over Huntington Beach in the Final to win the Surf City Tournament Saturday at Huntington Beach High School.

(La Verne) – Damien head football coach Matt Bechtel has stepped down after five years the school announced Thursday.

The Surf City Passing/ Linemen Tournament is set for this Saturday July 20 at Huntington Beach High School. Local schools Chino Hills, Charter Oak, Ayala and Downey are participating.

Pasadena, Montebello and La Canada right out of the gate is intriguing.

It’s too early for a High School Football Top 10 so let’s go 12. The “Dirty Dozen” if you will. It’s challenging piecing together a Top 10 or even a Top 12 in our coverage area when you have teams that range from Division 2 all the way to Division 14. There should probably be five different lists of the top teams. But we settled on one. Almost all of the 7 on 7 passing tournaments have been played and we’re just a few weeks away from kicking off the 2024 campaign. Here we go.

Mountain View hosted the Shootout At The View Saturday. West Covina beat Bell Gardens 21-6 in the Final to take the Tournament title. Here are a few images from pool play!
