Trojans Make a Statement, 48-0

(Los Angeles) – There is always a fear in sports that after a big emotional win comes a letdown. Well USC got its big win last week over LSU but there was not even a hint of a letdown this week. The Trojans made a statement as they jumped out to a 27-0 halftime lead and never let their foot off the gas in a 48-0 rout of Utah State in front of 68,110 satisfied fans at the LA Memorial Coliseum Saturday night.

Arriaza Amazin’ as Spartans Roll

Santa Fe Springs—The St. Paul Swordsmen struck first against the visiting Damien Spartans Friday night at St. Paul High School but then watched Isaiah Arriaza, who threw three touchdown passes in the contest, lead his offense to three consecutive scores and ultimately secure the 37-10 win over St. Paul.
