Covina’s Rally Stuns the WC (West Covina) – Nick Hynes intercepted a pass and returned it 28 yards for a touchdown with 1:31 left in the contest to give Covina a dramatic 27-21 comeback victory over West Covina Friday night in the opener.

We’ve hit the dead period for several area high school football teams. Although there is no set dead period now with the new CIF rules in place most teams still go dark in late July and into early August.
Bulldogs Gobble up Chiefs Turnovers in 47-7 Win (Mike Maggiore video)
(West Covina) – The Bulldogs defense stopped Santa Fe four times inside the 20-yard line and caused five turnovers en route to a 47-7 Southeast Division quarterfinal win.
