Covina-South Hills Tune up for Season

(Covina) – Covina and South Hills lined up and banged heads for a while Friday night in a final scrimmage before the season kicks off for keeps next week.

Less than two weeks and counting…this Friday night there will be numerous scrimmages through out the area and then the following Thursday (September 1), the high school football season kicks off.

The opening kick off for high school football is still a couple of weeks away. All the passing circuits are completed and fall camp is underway. Most teams will be throwing on the helmet and pads soon as they begin the stretch run to zero week.

SGV Shootout Set for July 9

(El Monte) – The SGV Shootout is set for Saturday July 9 at Arroyo High School. Last year the Shootout was moved to Gladstone while Arroyo was under remodel construction but this year it returns to its home.

Livingston Key for Covina

(Covina) – His numbers last year were eye popping as he led Covina to the second round of the playoffs before falling to Whittier Christian. A big year for Billy Livingston in 2011 could put the Colts over the top.
