CIF Semi-Final Softball Preview

Area teams are one step away from a Championship date. The Mid Valley Sports coverage area is guaranteed one Championship team as Division V has an all MVS feel to it.  Bonita can continue their magical run with a win over Ayala.  La Salle has redemption on their minds and another Championship appearance is insight.

High School Baseball Area Top 20

Bishop Amat stumbled against St. Paul last week but is still number one in final poll. The Glendora pitching staff looks unhittable and Arcadia wrapped up a perfect run in the Pacific.

High School Baseball Area Top 20

Bishop Amat moves into the top 20. It took some convincing because Amat hasn’t always been in our coverage area but 8-0 in the Del Rey league and 19-2 overall was too much to ignore. Glendora, Bonita and Monrovia all lost league games while Northview, South Hills and Arcadia remained perfect.

High School Baseball Top 20

Bonita proved its mettle by sweeping Charter Oak, while Northview looks untouchable in the Valle Vista. Pitching is going to carry Arcadia to the Pacific League title. Does Nick Lemas have an arm he can loan to the Dodgers?

High School Softball Area Top 20

Most of the Top 20 remained unchanged as the schools had their Spring Break.  Some teams did find their way up, while some dropped down after lackluster performances. Schurr and San Dimas return to the Top 20 and Los Altos and Maranatha head out after going 0 for the week in wins.
