Cathedral Wins Red Devils Shootout
By Tim Peterson (Pomona) – Cathedral won the “Red Devils Shootout” Saturday at Pomona. There were 20 teams overall with Cathedral playing out of Group C with West Covina, Locke, Pomona and Bolsa Grande.
Tello Takes West Covina
By Tim Peterson (West Covina) – Corey Tello, who was the defensive coordinator at West Covina last season, was promoted to head coach of the Bulldogs former HC Mike Maggiore confirmed Thursday.

By Tim Peterson So apparently the requirement to step down as head coach is your team has to lose in the CIF Finals. Dale Ziola of Los Altos, Mike Moschetti at La Mirada and Burbank’s Richard Broussard all fell in the final game and resigned the next week.
