{"id":10073,"date":"2010-09-24T22:56:43","date_gmt":"2010-09-25T05:56:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/?p=10073"},"modified":"2010-09-25T21:57:36","modified_gmt":"2010-09-26T04:57:36","slug":"hoover-45-mt-view-38","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/?p=10073","title":{"rendered":"Pule&#8217;s Seven Beats View"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By George Hernandez<\/p>\n<div id=\"cg_msg_content\">\n<table border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\">\n<div id=\"yiv1518841535\">\n<table id=\"yiv1518841535bodyDrftID\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td id=\"yiv1518841535drftMsgContent\">[S.El Monte] &#8211; A.J Pule put on a show against Mountain View throwing for five touchdowns and rushing for another two in win Hoover&#8217;s 45-38 win Friday night at South El Monte High School.<!--more-->Vikings came out strong stopping the Tornadoes on there first possession and taking the ball down field and capping it off when quarterback Jerry Ponce hit Josymar Ulloa from 11-yards out to make it 6-0 after the two point conversion was missed.Pule went to work from there getting two quick first quarter touchdown passes hitting Patrick James, and Dymond McRae to give Hoover a 14-6 lead.<\/p>\n<p>Mountain View got back on the board when Ulloa took it in from 41-yards out to make it 14-12 after a failed extra point.<\/p>\n<p>The Tornadoes took control of the game in the second quarter when Pule threw two more touchdown passes finding McRae for the second time and hitting a wide open Jesse Pina to give Hoover a 27-12 lead going into halftime.<\/p>\n<p>The Vikings came out pumped in the second half on there first possession Jose &#8220;Nacho&#8221; Zamora finished off the drive with a three yard run to cut into the lead 27-18. Ponce picked off a Pule pass, and on the very next play other View quarterback Jason Cordero threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Ulloa to make a 27-24 game after another missed extra point.<\/p>\n<p>View took the lead to start the fourth quarter after recovering a fumble Ulloa was found again my Ponce to make it 30-27.<\/p>\n<p>Not even a minute later Pule took the lead back when he hit McRae for the third time to make it 33-30 Hoover. Pule then found the end zone on the ground twice with runs of one and 47-yards, after a Cordero interception.<\/p>\n<p>The Vikings never gave up, Ponce drove them down field and connected with Ignacio Castenada to make it 45-2=38 after a Ulloa two point conversion. Ponce almost got the onside kick but it failed, Hoover finished it off with some knees.<\/p>\n<p>Ulloa finished with 32 carries for 202-yards and two receptions for 41-yards and his four scores, super sophmore Zamora chipped in with 81-yards on the ground. Ponce went 2 of 4 for 29-yards both completions went for scores. Cordero went 1 of 5 for 30-yards with his touchdown pass, put threw a pick. Diego Estrada stepped in for the Vikings on defense with Alonso Mora and Omar Rivera stopping the run.<\/p>\n<p>Pule racked up the stats going 16 of 29 for 277-yards and 5 touchdowns, along with two more on the ground.
