\u00a0 Gabrielino and Monrovia wrapped up league titles Thursday in the Mission Valley and Rio Hondo respectively. The Eagles scored two runs in the\u00a0fifth and added two more sixth to knock off South El Monte 4-1.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0 Freshman Angel\u00a0Acosta struck\u00a0out 13\u00a0while throwing a\u00a0complete game and also went two for three at the plate\u00a0including a two run double in the decisive fifth. Another freshman, Brendan Campbell went three for three\u00a0and scored a run.<\/p>\n
\u00a0 It was the third \u00a0consecutive\u00a0MVL crown for Gabrielino.<\/p>\n
\u00a0 Monrovia rolled a seven in the first inning\u00a0and never looked back in a\u00a012-1 rout of South Pasadena.\u00a0Robert Nakamura went four for five with two runs scored and Nick Bueno had three hits and scored a run.\u00a0Justin De La Nuez went three for five and drove in three runs.<\/p>\n
\u00a0 It was the fifth straight victory for Monrovia and the Cats also\u00a0reeled off seven of their\u00a0last eight.\u00a0<\/p>\n
