Ontario Christian was their closest game of the season and Azusa won by three touchdowns. Abraham Ochoa, Jose Nunez and the rest have just been too much to deal with. Three more games until the real season begins.

Body of Work: 29-34 overall record of opponents; 3-0 against teams with winning records.

Games Remaining: at Workman, Gladstone (5-10 record remaining opponents)

Projection: First

La Puente (5-2, 3-1) – The Warriors have distinguished themselves as the second best team in the league. Early season wins over El Monte and Northview gave them some momentum and then they knocked off Gladstone, (4-1 in league), 28-7. Jose Perez is a solid back. He has rushed for over 1900 yards and 13 touchdowns in seven games. If he was at Charter Oak or Bishop Amat they would be selling his replica jersey at the snack bar. However even with Rivera’s heroics the Dons will be hard pressed to make the post season.
