He caught a short pass over the middle and turned it into\u00a0an 80-yard touchdown in the first quarter to give the Lancers a 14-6 lead. His next touchown pass to Gutierrez\u00a0was another huge play. Adame hooked up with Gutierrez for\u00a075 yards\u00a0early in the third.\u00a0Gutierrez did most of the damage after the catch to give BG a 29-16 lead.<\/p>\n<p>The Adame- Gutierrez connection worked one more time in the fourth as they linked up for a 15 yard\u00a0score which proved to be the game winner.<\/p>\n<p>Adame finished the night\u00a024-31\u00a0for 378 yards and two scores. Gutierrez caught 12 of those passes for\u00a0254 yards and three touchdowns. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Lancers survived\u00a0several big plays by San Gabriel.\u00a0The Matadors fought back despite\u00a0playing with their third string quarterback.\u00a0Andy Guerrero started and\u00a0completed six of six passes before going down with an injury late in the second quarter. Eric\u00a0Alvarez came on and tried to give it a go but he was already injured from the\u00a0previous game. The Mats played the entire second half with Arthur Brown at quarterback.<\/p>\n<p>Running primarily\u00a0out of the Wildcat, Brown scored on\u00a0a touchdown run of 63 yards in the third quarter to get SG to within 29-23. In the first quarter,\u00a0with Guerrero still in the game,\u00a0Brown broke off a\u00a049 yard touchdown scamper.<\/p>\n<p>After Gutierrez hauled in a 15 yard pass in the\u00a0fourth, BG looked like it had the game in hand up 37-23.\u00a0But San Gabriel battled back\u00a0when\u00a0Joey Villalobos returned the ensuing kick off back\u00a066 yards for a score to cut it\u00a0to 37-29.\u00a0Then on its next series, Alex Villalobos caught a 43\u00a0yard rainbow from Brown in the corner of the end zone to make it\u00a037-35.<\/p>\n<p>The Bell Gardens defense had to stop San Gabriel\u00a0twice late in the fourth\u00a0quarter to hold on.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We knew San Gabriel would score some points.
