After weeks of thinking that La Mirada was a pretender, they come from behind and beat Norwalk and move into the top five.

Arcadia finds itself near the top as they could end up with the top spot of the Pacific depending on the outcome of the Burbank-Burroughs game on Thursday.

La Serna continues to dominate the Del Rio League and Bonita looked good in beating Rowland.

1. West Covina (8-1) – Bulldogs just demolished Diamond Ranch, who can stop them?

2. La Serna (8-1) – Lancers continue to roll in the Del Rio, can taste the title.

3. Bonita (8-1) – Good job in coming back and taking it to a mentally beat-down Rowland team.

4. La Mirada (6-3) – Prior to the Suburban League, Matadores fans were jumping off the bandwagon.

5. Arcadia (6-3) – Apaches will be Burbank fans on Thursday night.

6. Diamond Ranch (5-4) – Panthers were just outplayed by a more physical and athletic team.

7. Muir (5-4) – Does anyone want to play the Mustangs when they play football like this?

8. Burbank (7-2) – Would love to make it two for two in City Showdown.

9. Burroughs (5-4) – For the second straight year the Indians are in danger of losing Pacific League title to Burbank.

10. Norwalk (5-4) – Couldn’t finish off La Mirada when up big. Now must shake it off for Lancers to try and make deep playoff run.

11. Mayfair (6-4) – All is well in Monsoon Nation after win against winless Artesia.

12. Walnut (5-4) – Anything can happen in High School football, but Mustangs are assured a playoff spot if they beat Los Altos.

13. Diamond Bar (6-3) – Hoping that they did enough to get into playoffs as a wild card.

14. Santa Fe (5-4) – If Chiefs stay on the ground and with its defense they could surprise some teams in playoffs.

15. Pasadena (4-5) – Bulldogs were in this position last year needing a win against Muir, can they buck the trend in the Turkey Tussle.

16. California (3-6) – It wasn’t pretty, but a three-game winning streak has them in the playoffs again.

17. Cerritos (3-6) – “Win and they are in” scenario played exactly like the Dons wanted it to.

18. Bellflower (5-4) – Bucs might have played itself out of the playoff picture with loss to Cerritos.

19. El Rancho (5-4) – Dons really needed a win against Santa Fe and completely floundered in loss.

20. Pioneer (4-5) – Titans could end the season on a high note with a win against Santa Fe.

West Covina keeps the top spot with a blow-out win against Diamond Ranch.
