The Rams have established a solid running game with Josh Simangunsong and should be able to chew up yardage against South Pas.<\/p>\n<p>If the Tigers win, they could slide into a playoff spot. He can do so many different things. Valley puts up a lot of points as well. We all remember the 70 point five overtime effort against Maranatha.<\/p>\n<p>Valley Christian wins a shootout.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Valley Christian 35 Village Christian 28<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday November 12<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Almont<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Alhambra (4-5) at Bell Gardens (6-3)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Last Year: Alhambra 14-7<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bell Gardens has second place firmly in its sights. The Lancers aren\u2019t about to let the Moors stand in their way. The scary thing about BG now is that Josh Adame is throwing the ball all over the yard.<\/p>\n<p>San Gabriel spoiled Alhambra\u2019s playoff hopes last week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bell Gardens 28 Alhambra 14<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p><strong>San Gabriel (4-5) at Schurr (6-3)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Last Year: Schurr 28-21<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Schurr turned the ball over twice inside the Montebello five yard line in last week\u2019s one point win over the Oilers. That won\u2019t happen again. San Gabriel\u2019s offense can score but with the number one and number two quarterbacks hurt, it makes the Matadors one dimensional.<\/p>\n<p>Schurr gets it done to run the Almont league table.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Schurr 31 San Gabriel 17<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mission Valley<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>El Monte (4-5) at Rosemead (6-3)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Last Year: Rosemead 52-20<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>All-Time: Rosemead 36-12<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A make or break game for El Monte. A win would give the Lions second place in the Mission Valley and land them in the post season. A loss puts them at third and 4-6 overall. That probably won\u2019t cut it in the reconfigured Mid-Valley Division.<\/p>\n<p>Rosemead has been your typical Rosemead. The Panthers play tough defense and have a solid running attack with 1000 yard rusher Matt Fregoso. Mead has to be careful but with a possible playoff spot in the line, you can bet they will.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rosemead 24 El Monte 14<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mt. View (4-5) at Arroyo (8-1)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Last Year: Arroyo 57-7<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>All-Time: Arroyo 33-5<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s been a successful season for Mt. View. The Vikings have won two league games and five already overall. Remember just last season they were 0-10. Rumors are they are already in the process of upgrading their non league schedule for next year.<\/p>\n<p>Arroyo has taken care of everybody in the MVL. View is simply the Knights\u2019 next victim. Mikey Vasquez is now Arroyo\u2019s all time rushing leader. Congratulations Mike! Knights roll.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Arroyo 38 Mt. View 7<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p><strong>Montview<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Azusa (9-0) at Gladstone (5-4)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Last Year: Azusa 14-7<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Steven Blount and Brian Nieto told us on the Mid Valley Sports Show that Gladstone is definitely the rivalry game for Azusa. Well it\u2019s here and the Aztecs plan to make the most of it. A perfect regular season is the carrot for a win and they aren\u2019t about to pass it up.<\/p>\n<p>It won\u2019t be close. Azusa in a rout.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Azusa 42 Gladstone 7<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rio Hondo<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>La Canada (5-4) at Monrovia (7-2)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Last Year: Monrovia 43-7<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>All-Time: Monrovia 16-12<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Monrovia hasn\u2019t been tested in the Rio Hondo and La Canada won\u2019t provide one either. Plain and simple the Wildcats have too much.<\/p>\n<p>La Canada still has a shot at the playoffs. Even if the Spartans lose, they\u2019ll finish 3-2 in the Rio. After the loss, they\u2019ll sit back and see what happens. M-Town goes unbeaten in league.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monrovia 38 La Canada 14<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p><strong>Valle Vista<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Baldwin Park (4-5) at Northview (3-6)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Last Year: Baldwin Park 33-6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Braves have gotten well in league. With the win over San Dimas earlier this year, and a 4-1 Valle Vista mark, they have set themselves up for a second place finish. If it\u2019s true that a tough non league schedule benefits you down the line, Baldwin Park could make a run in the post season.<\/p>\n<p>Northview has some talent in Marquise Thomas and Marcus Ellis but it won\u2019t be enough against BP. Braves sew up second.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Baldwin Park 31 Northview 21<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p><strong>San Dimas (5-4) at Wilson (4-5)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>San Dimas has lost two games in league but with a win over Monrovia earlier this year and possibly a 6-4 overall record; they should be able to grab a wild card berth. Of course that\u2019s providing the Saints beat Wilson.<\/p>\n<p>With the problems the Wildcats are having lately, that seems like a distinct possibility.
