Kim Nevarez was strong on defense to help the Bulldogs.<\/p><\/div>\n

(Covina) \u2013 A 16-0 run to end the first quarter was all West Covina needed to begin the Covina Christmas Classic on a winning note by defeating Alta Loma, 68-38<\/p>\n

Nat Lim scored 15 of her game high 18 points for the Bulldogs and poured in four three-pointers.<\/p>\n

West Covina\u2019s defense created turnovers with Amber Delrea making the most of her opportunities with a steal and score with 4:21 to play in the second quarter to stop a 6-0 Alta Loma run.<\/p>\n

The Bulldogs also didn\u2019t allow a field goal in the first quarter as they watched the Braves shoot 18% in the first half.<\/p>\n

Leilani Mamea shined brightly for Alta Loma with 18 points to lead the team.<\/p>\n

Second half didn\u2019t get any better for the Braves with West Covina continuing it hot-shooting in the third quarter. The Bulldogs went on an 11-0 run midway through the quarter to open up a 31-point lead.<\/p>\n

Alta Loma made one last run with less than three minutes remaining outscoring West Covina 13-4 to cut the lead to 15 before Delrea scored the final five points of the game.<\/p>\n
