Andrea Villanueva scored 10 in the win against El Rancho.<\/p><\/div>\n

(Covina) \u2013 Bishop Amat continued to dominate its opposition with a 67-28 win to open the Covina Christmas Classic against El Rancho.<\/p>\n

Freshman Janae Chamois had a career-high 15 points to help lead the Lancers to its third win of the season.<\/p>\n

The Lady Dons gave a scare to Bishop Amat when Khadija Diakite tied the score at seven with 4:05 remaining in the first quarter.<\/p>\n

That woke the Lancers up as they answered the alarm with a 17-3 run to end the quarter.<\/p>\n

El Rancho refused to go down quietly in the first half with an inside game led by Diakite\u2019s eight first half points and Doreen Lopez\u2019s four points. The Lady Dons went into the halftime break only down by 13 to the Midvalleysports.com #1 team.<\/p>\n

A nightmare start for El Rancho in the second half would be its undoing with poor shooting and untimely turnovers. It also didn\u2019t help that senior Andrea Villanueva scored four points and Leiticia Galarza begin to get a hot hand with five points to completely blow the game open.<\/p>\n

The Lancers would end the third quarter on a 17-2 run that would be punctuated by Chamois\u2019s four-point play at the buzzer.<\/p>\n

The fourth quarter saw a running clock for the entire eight minutes and saw Bishop Amat empty its bench.<\/p>\n
