The NFL season coming to a close.<\/p>\n

Every one knew the fate of the Chicago Bears would fall on the shoulders of Jay Cutler. I myself endured sleepless nights wondering when Cutler would cost his team a victory. It saddens me that the Bears season did not end with a Jay Cutler interception but one thrown by Caleb Hanie.<\/p>\n

Hanie completed 13 of 20 passes throwing for 153 yards. I sat in the living room thinking \u201cthis guy will probably won himself a starting job for next year.\u201d<\/p>\n

With the Mid Valley Draft two weeks away I\u2019ve started to put my GM cap on. What are my team\u2019s (49ers) needs? Quarterback is a must and defensive tackle Aubrayo Franklin heading into free agency a few players come into mind to fill the void.<\/p>\n

Monrovia\u2019s Ellis McCarthy ended the season with double-digit totals in sacks and was a force on the D-line.<\/p>\n

Also the Niners second leading tackler Takeo Spikes is nearing the end of his career that is another focal point for the draft. West Covina\u2019s Maurice Dupleasis will definitely have his name thrown around in the San Fran war room come February Eighth. He led his team in tackles with 124 total and also added five sacks.<\/p>\n

A player who has caught my eye is La Mirada quarterback Shane Blood. He wears the number 5 but plays like Pittsburgh Steelers number 7. His size allows him to play like a linebacker stuck in a quarterback\u2019s body. Blood led his team on a six game win streak where he threw 11 touchdowns to just 3 interceptions. He ended the season throwing 1,748 yards.<\/p>\n

From Blood\u2019s highlight tape he has a powerful arm. He adds to the arm strength by following through each throw adding distance and velocity.<\/p>\n

Evan Hunko\u2019s throwing motion and style reminds little of Colt McCoy. He has a short and fast throwing motion that helps deliver the ball quickly into tight windows. He is a player teams should keep in mind as the draft inches closer. Hunko threw for for 13 touchdowns and 1,067 yards in a run oriented offense.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been working on my foot work & being able to stick in the pocket,\u201d says Alhambra\u2019s Josh Mendoza as he works to improve on a sophomore year where he had 1,336 yards in the Wing-T offense.<\/p>\n
