Shout to the Tournament gods who destroyed my bracket. Not all of us can be Joe Torosian and make the unbustable decision of filling in your bracket after the game has actually happened.

Congrats to the ladies of Texas A&M on winning the school’s first National Championship. But I feel like Villathedevil enjoyed watching that game more than Monday night’s classic. Well it wasn’t exactly a classic but it was better than watching women’s ball.

Butler comes up short again. I wasn’t really surprised. I was disappointed. I had caught myself sipping on the Matt Howard Kool-Aid and he goes 1-13 from the field? That will affect his draft stock. Next thing you know people will be saying he can’t come through in the big games. These will be the same people who praised him just a week ago for his buzzer beating heroics.

This is the world of sports that we live in. You are a hero one second and the next you are a dunce in the corner. That is only one example

Did you know there is an International Clown Hall of Fame and Research Center? It’s true, it’s in Baraboo, Wisconsin.

What does that have to do with anything? Well I think that the broadcasters of today have become clowns.

I loved watching Charles Barkley play basketball, sure I was young, but I remember it. I like the T-Mobile and Taco Bell commercials he does, those are pretty hilarious. But as a commentator on a basketball game, even though it is generally the half time show, I want to strangle him, and I’m sure I’m not the only one.

And it’s not just basketball. In every sport there is a commentator who just doesn’t belong. It feels forced. It feels fake. It deteriorates from the event of the game itself.

Having Rick Pitino break down games was a relief. He knew what he was talking about and I trust a guy who has won over 500 games coaching.

Cris Collinsworth is killing Monday night football. I know it was John Maddens time to retire, but replacing him with Collinsworth? Broadcasting is becoming a joke. And for someone who is trying to enter that arena, it is frightening.

Football. Ahhh praise the Lord for He is good. This Saturday we will have some throwing down at San Gabriel. It really is starting to kick in that the season isn’t that far away. I know it is going to be said every week until the Mid Valley Classic, but deal with it. It is something to be excited about.

Last point.

In all things in life, blind love is better than having a thought out complex reasoning for it. I love football. Everyone at the Mid loves football. It is a blind love, a passion. Getting to be excited about something you love, well that’s the best feeling in the World.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Contact Josh at josh@midvalleysports.com

By Josh Ouellette I woke up this morning and wanted to shout.
