Between the whacking of Osama Bin Laden (high five), to the NFL Draft, I almost forgot about the NHL and NBA playoffs this weekend…Seems like the Lakers forgot about the NBA playoffs as well…<\/p>\n

Got a great update from Pasadena and quarterback Brandon Cox.<\/p>\n

\u201cI play baseball,\u201d said Cox when asked about his off season. \u201cSo when I have time off from that everything I do has something to do with football. On the weekends I take a couple of my recievers up to the school to just throw routes on air, just to stay a polished passer and to strengthen the connection between me and my recievers so when season comes its like second nature. Also I run and lift to stay in the best shape as possible for next season. I also try to go to all the top football camps in the area, so I can keep learning the game and how to become a better quarterback because I still have room to grow.\u201d<\/p>\n

Three of the receivers Cox has been spending a lot of time with are; Riian Simpson, Armon Easley, and Marcus Green. All have looked good, but Green is someone you could expect a breakout season from.<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe if we do what we are capable of,\u201d says Pasadena HC Randy Horton. \u201cWe could go 8-2. I believe this is the first time in a while that we have an opportunity in the Pacific League.<\/p>\n
