Rowland quarterback George Campos <\/p><\/div>\n

(El Monte) –\u00a0These days\u00a0they’re throwing every Tuesday and Thursday at Arroyo.\u00a0Tuesday was just another one of those days. The Knights welcomed\u00a0Rowland, Northview and Arcadia\u00a0to toss it around.<\/p>\n

Current Arroyo QB Steven Rivera and QB of the future Brandon Jauregui -AKA Maverick and Goose. Oh, Rivera is Maverick. <\/p><\/div>\n

I finally got to see\u00a0Brandon Jauregui. I heard from Arroyo Coach Jim Singiser that he was\u00a0a two way player\u00a0but I didn’t realize he was\u00a0the quarterback of the future.\u00a0He’s only a sophomore and should be able to step right in\u00a02012 when Steven Rivera graduates.\u00a0He can definitely play quarterback and based on what I saw Singiser\u00a0will find room for him in other places until Rivera takes the walk next June.<\/p>\n

Did you know Rivera and Jauregui are known as Maverick and Goose?<\/p>\n

Arcadia receiver Taylor Lagace<\/p><\/div>\n

Arcadia’s offense moved the ball\u00a0efficiently but when\u00a0you have Myles Carr and\u00a0Taylor Lagace\u00a0that’s almost a given.\u00a0Carr to Lagace will be called upon often\u00a0this year in the\u00a0Apache huddle.<\/p>\n

Rowland Coach Craig Snyder likes what he sees in his skill players <\/p><\/div>\n

Rowland Coach Craig Snyder is happy\u00a0so far with Michael Ball’s replacement at quarterback. George Campos saw\u00a0plenty of action last\u00a0and is expected to step right in.<\/p>\n

Ready to Rock and Rowland <\/p><\/div>\n

“He filled in last year when Michael was injured and did a great job.\u00a0We will change the offense to suit him because he’s a different player than Michael was,” Snyder said. “He ‘s more of\u00a0 a pocket passer so we’ll be throwing the ball a lot more.”<\/p>\n

The Raiders also have a talented\u00a0running back\u00a0in\u00a0Albert Jackson.<\/p>\n
