    Will Santa Fe<\/strong> survive its brutal preseason before Del Rio play? The Chiefs begin play in Arizona against last season\u2019s #1 ranked Hamilton. Then face formidable competition from Pac-5 and Inland Division schools.<\/p>\n

    Santa Fe<\/strong> will have Christian Mahlstede under center. Mahlstede will have two nice weapons on the receiving corp in Joey Davis and Aaron Zaragoza.<\/p>\n

    Johnny Altamirano will cause offenses fits on the defensive side of the ball.<\/p>\n

    La Serna<\/strong> loses much of its weapons after a successful run to the semifinals. Quarterback Frankie Palmer gets his first test right off the bat against Bonita Vista. O.J. Medina figures to get the majority of the handoffs at the running back position.<\/p>\n

    Look for Craig Jones to solidify his spot on the linebacker position with Faris Nesheiwat returning on the defensive line.<\/p>\n

    Ronell Lone will be a big play hitter for El Rancho<\/strong>, which last season started out 4-1 before finishing the season 2-4.<\/p>\n

    Lone will have some company in the backfield with Josh Lopez adding a potent 1-2 punch to the running game.<\/p>\n

    Two seasons removed from going undefeated in the Del Rio, California<\/strong> appears to be rebuilding with Gabe Lozano and Justin Dankert the featured backs. Drew Castro will get the nod at quarterback.<\/p>\n

    Tony Botello\u2019s 2010 season was one to remember. This season the Pioneer <\/strong>senior looks to take the Titans to the next level.<\/p>\n

    10 of 11 defensive players return for Pioneer <\/strong>which makes them the most experienced in the Del Rio League. Linebacker Rigo Luquin and Safety Ruben Robles each are three-year starters.<\/p>\n

    The Cardinals have much to prove after a winless 2o1o. Mike Viramontes is a triple threat at quarterback, wide receiver and defensive back. Kevin Ramirez could be the answer at the running back position for Whittier<\/strong> this season.<\/p>\n

    A couple of linebackers to keep an eye on in Victor Espinoza and Ernest Escareno, both figure to anchor the front seven.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
