This could be the season that the Apaches put all its pieces together and make a run for the Southeast Division title.

Division-1 talents Myles Carr and Taylor Legace lead a group that will put points up in a hurry. A duel running back system with Sheldon McKinley and Rodney Arnett make it difficult for any defense to “zero in” on any one player.

Clarence Irvin is the returning tackler for Arcadia.

Eli Peppmuller is slated to replace three-year starter Lucas Yanez at quarterback. Peppmuller gets some help in the backfield with Zander Anding carrying the ball for the Burroughs offense.

Returning defensively is defensive lineman Nick Brown and linebacker Cody Jensen.

Muir is loaded with two Division-1 athletes in Kevon Seymour and Tairen Owens on offense.

Denzel Talifero returns after a solid sophomore season on the defensive side of the ball. Talifero ended 2010 with 73 tackles.

At the beginning of 2010, Burbank’s biggest question was who Adam Colman would throw to. Now the question is who replaces him? Zac Tomlinson is the leader heading into the season opener.

An abundance of running backs with Quortney Brazier and Teddy Arlington getting some looks along with Joseph Pendleton.

Replacing Ryan Seidler is Daniel Martinez at linebacker and Steven Kim will anchor a young defensive line.

If speed kills, then Pasadena will be tough to stop. Quarterback Brandon Cox will have an array of receivers to throw to with Marcus Green, Armon Easley, C.J. Collins and Rian Simpson.

Cleo Bates is solid at the running back spot after two productive seasons for the Bulldogs.

Easley will do double-duty at the cornerback spot.

Crescenta Valley can only look forward after a promising preseason turned into a nightmare after the loss of Marro Lee. With Lee returning, Zac Wilkerson will get a shot at reestablishing himself in the quarterback role.

Nathan Sarreal will be asked to be the leader on the offensive and defensive line.

Could Glendale surprise this season? Maybe.

Evan Norton takes the leadership role on the offense with a speedy target in Michael Davis. Defensively, Alex Yoon will be asked to stop the opposing receiver. Player to watch is receiver/defensive back Matt DeFrance.

Too many questions surround Hoover this season. A new coach is just the tip of the iceberg. The Tornadoes will have Alexander Rangle under center. Rangle still has a good receiver in Jesse Pina. Luke Taboyoyong will handle most of the carries.

Projected order of finish: Arcadia – Jon Dimalante Burroughs – Keith Knoop Muir – Ken Howard Burbank – Hector Valencia

[1
3960,5852,5845,836,5847,3257,5841,4072,5082,4013,5849,3843,5843,1422,3842,1120,3918,5851,5850,981,5848,2914,5842,5846,980,4127,5844,3359,674,5741,5689,3919,2110
post-17837","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized","tag-alex-yoon","tag-alexander-rangle","tag-armon-easley","tag-brandon-cox","tag-c-j-collins","tag-clarence-irvin","tag-cody-jensen","tag-daniel-martinez","tag-denzel-talifero","tag-eli-peppmuller","tag-evan-norton","tag-jesse-pina","tag-joseph-pendleton","tag-kevon-seymour","tag-luke-taboyoyong","tag-marcus-green","tag-marro-lee","tag-matt-defrance","tag-michael-davis","tag-myles-carr","tag-nattan-sarreal","tag-nick-brown","tag-quortney-braxzier","tag-rian-simpson","tag-rodney-arnett","tag-sheldon-mckinley","tag-steven-kim","tag-tairen-owens","tag-taylor-legace","tag-teddy-arlington","tag-zac-tomlinson","tag-zac-wilkerson","tag-zander-anding
["GET
