Oh, I\u2019ve always been a fantasy football fan.<\/p>\n

I like Covina over Pomona, but 35-6? That\u2019s according to CalPreps, I saw it more as 31-7 Colts.<\/p>\n

Michael Patini of The La Puente High School Warriors…is terrific.<\/p>\n

Did you know Bill Belichick was a bust for the Cleveland Browns in his first shot at being an HC? Did you know Dick Vermeil didn\u2019t exactly make it happen in Kansas City and was under .500 while leading the Rams? Steve Bogan missed the playoffs last season and is 4-9 overall since the start of 2010? Tip Sanders also has sketchy win-loss record. Darryl Thomas and Covina struggled through some tough seasons between the Mike McDonough and Billy Livingston eras.<\/p>\n

Are these bad coaches? Or coaches that went through cycles and natural events?<\/p>\n

Point is: To say the San Gabriel coaching staff doesn\u2019t know what it is doing and is incompentent, as some bloggers have said on this site, only goes to show that a lot of bloggers have no clue as to what they are talking about.<\/p>\n

Since getting back into this in 1998, I\u2019ve seen bad coaches get away with murder and I\u2019ve seen really good ones go through tough times.<\/p>\n

Remember it was this same San Gabriel staff that was 5-5 a year ago and only four points combined from being undefeated in Almont League play…and that was with three different starting quarterbacks.<\/p>\n

So lighten up.<\/p>\n

Arcadia and Muir, who meet this Friday night to start Pacific League play, have opened league play 12 times before. The Mustangs have a 9-3 advantage.<\/p>\n

…And I\u2019ve always hated the Dallas Cowboys<\/p>\n

Before this season began discussion about West Covina went like this: \u201cThey’ve got Chris Solomon, Justin Meaders, and, and Aaron Salgado who is only a sophomore…Oh and they also have Jimmy Frazier.\u201d<\/p>\n

A month into this season the same conversation might go something like this: \u201cThank goodness for Jimmy Frazier!\u201d<\/p>\n

I think Cal coming to Schurr is a better fit this week than last week when Schurr hosted El Toro…<\/p>\n

Burbank needs to score some points and this week they get Glendale…How providential.<\/p>\n

How good is Whitter Christian (2-2) and Ryan Morales? We\u2019ll find out this week when they play Salesian.<\/p>\n

Last Add Salesian: I\u2019m betting the Mustangs are working hard on kick-off coverage this week.<\/p>\n

Next Add Maranatha: What\u2019s nicer the cozy confines of its football stadium on top of a parking lot?….Or the In \u2018N Out truck that rolls in to feed the faithful?<\/p>\n

Final Add San Gabriel: Alex Villalobos 16 catches against Baldwin Park last Friday night tied the school record of 16 set by Alfred Varela on November 12, 2004 at home against Bell Gardens. The Mats loss that one too.<\/p>\n
