Winning five of its first six games seemed like impossibility in August. First year Coach Ibis Aguilar has done a masterful job of turning the Eagles around.

Arroyo is about where we expected. The Knights only slipped up against Hart and a lot of people have slipped against Hart.

South’s toughest test to date was Bell Gardens and it failed that test. The shock wasn’t so much the victory but that the Spartans were able to hold down BG’s offense. Schurr’s defense has been anything but stout this year.

The Moors rebounded last week to beat Keppel after losing to South Pas a couple of weeks ago. Josh Mendoza, Demetrius Russell and company should score enough to win. If not, the Schurr is suddenly the Almont favorite.
