(Baldwin Park)-Jake Payton rushed for 196 yards and four scores, Dominic Jollevet added 99 yards and two touchdowns, and Dillon Corona returned a punt 65 yards to the house in San Dimas\u2019 48-14 romp over Valle Vista foe Baldwin Park Friday night.<\/p>\n
Payton scored the first two touchdowns for the Saints and carried the ball 12 times, scoring on touchdown runs of 12, 14, 39, and 96.<\/p>\n
With 5:06 remaining in the third, Payton sprung through the line untouched and raced down the sideline for a 96-yard touchdown, pushing the lead to 41-7.<\/p>\n
On the next possession, Baldwin Park\u2019s Anthony Moran capped off a 10-play drive with a six yard touchdown rumble and it was 41-14 with 11:11 to play in the contest.<\/p>\n
The drive was fueled by some good running from Brave tailback Giovanni Resendez. Resendez finished his night with 100 yards rushing on 15 carries.<\/p>\n
Baldwin Park quarterback Michael Moran finished with 200 yards through the air, but also threw three interceptions.<\/p>\n
Corona was one of those culprits, as well as Devonte Brown.<\/p>\n
The big play of the night for B.P came when Moran threw up a bomb to Samuel Guillen, who came down with the catch and ran it in for a 72-yard touchdown to make it 34-7 with 27 seconds left before halftime.<\/p>\n
San Dimas (5-2, 2-1) next week faces Northview at Covina District Field. Baldwin Park (2-5, 0-3) travels to face Nogales.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
