Got an email asking me what happened to \u201cThe Mid Valley Bowl\u201d.<\/p>\n

Simple, it died.<\/p>\n

In our early years when local post-season match ups were a rarity (Temple City versus Redondo Union, Monrovia versus Lompoc, Gladstone versus El Morro) we created \u201cThe Mid Valley Bowl\u201d a computer simulated championship between local teams.<\/p>\n

It was a lot of fun, we\u2019d load the information into an old Sierra Pro (Front Page Sports) game and let the computer play it off.<\/p>\n

Except now Arcadia and Monrovia play on a yearly basis, San Gabriel and M-Town did meet in the finals\u2026and all I can say is; \u201cThank you CIF\u201d\u2026Geography means everything to local football\u2026everything.<\/p>\n

Now we just need it for basketball and baseball.<\/p>\n
