I guess that Y2K thing never materialized.<\/p>\n

Now that I think of it, 1979 is still AWOL as well\u2026<\/p>\n

New Year\u2019s Eve is overrated\u2026So instead of saying \u201cHappy New Year\u201d when you see me say something else. Something like; \u201cHey Joe, here\u2019s 20 bucks for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

What is there to look forward to in 2012? Sierra Canyon-Monrovia for starters.<\/p>\n

Walter Dyer, Valley Christian\u2026That\u2019s a bubba deluxe.<\/p>\n

What schools are in position to possibly \u201cPull Something\u201d in 2012? Try Northview\u2026and bad dude back Javon Taylor.<\/p>\n

It was an up and down year\u2026but Alhambra is still a team to watch.<\/p>\n

Note to Lou Torres: Open up the attack and let Josh Mendoza use that arm of his. You gotta a lot of athletes\u2026spread that sucker out and give Jerry Chou, Donald Bernard, and Ben Negrete fits in the Almont.<\/p>\n

Joe Kapp and I are tight.<\/p>\n

Derrick Rose is great, no doubt, but the best reason to watch the Chicago Bulls is Luol Deng.<\/p>\n

Reggie Bush, that dude\u2019s all right.<\/p>\n

Certainly somebody must have touched on it by now but isn\u2019t it ironic that Rick Neuheisel\u2019s career as a player for UCLA ended against Illinois and the last of his regime as head coach (yes, I know he is already gone) also ends against the Illini.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s so strange seeing the Denver Nuggets Al Harrington play\u2026He\u2019s been around so long I think he was part of the ABA Dispersal Draft.<\/p>\n

The best thing about the NBA this season? A 66-game season\u2026Best thing that could happen to the NBA going forward? A permanent 60-game season.<\/p>\n

Amongst the underrated this year was senior Azusa right tackle Chris Garcia.<\/p>\n

And since we\u2019re talking offensive lineman Monrovia left tackle Isaac Miravet is back next fall.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve had quiet New Year\u2019s Eves\u2026I\u2019ve had New Year\u2019s Evils where I\u2019ve been exposed to various forms of debauchery\u2026I\u2019ve had New Year\u2019s Eves where I worked right through the striking of midnight\u2026but I think one of my most memorable was the New Year\u2019s I spent with my in-laws watching \u201cA Day at the Races\u201d and raising glasses on New York time\u2026<\/p>\n

Celebrating on New York time makes things a lot easier.<\/p>\n
