Q & A with former South Hills HC Steve Bogan<\/p>\n

The Mid:<\/strong> Hey Coach what\u2019s the deal with the Trib getting the story first?<\/p>\n

Bogan:<\/strong> Very sorry about the Tribune part, but anything I can do I will. Just let me know. I\u2019ll answer any question as best I can.<\/p>\n

The Mid:<\/strong> What was your thought process on stepping down?<\/p>\n

Bogan:<\/strong> My way of seeing what I think I am doing is a “sabbatical.” I hope I was following the leading of the Lord but am confident that if I wasn’t He can reroute me. He is the God of many chances, and where He leads I will follow.<\/p>\n

What I try to be is a Christian who is a coach, not a coach who happens to be a Christian. So when I believe God is telling me to take a rest and spend time with Him, I try and do it. There are lots of folks who the Lord could get to do what I was doing. I hear Him saying that He wants more of me – actually ALL of me. That doesn’t mean I am going to be a monk, or that I wasn’t committed to Him, but that I need to step away and spend more uncluttered time with Him. At the end of the day the Lord wants us, not what we do.<\/p>\n

The Mid:<\/strong> Are there any offers on the table?<\/p>\n

Bogan: <\/strong>I have no other offers, and will simply trust that He holds my future – because He does.<\/p>\n

The Mid:<\/strong> Will you miss being away from the players?<\/p>\n

Bogan:<\/strong> Heck, everyday 140 other seniors come to my American Government classes, so I am still in the “people processing business.”<\/p>\n
