Welcome to Awards Season.<\/p>\n

Early on when West Covina needed a lift, when guys were banged up, it was Jimmy Frazier who soared like a comet.<\/p>\n

When the homerun hitters returned, Frazier didn\u2019t take a back seat but shined all the more. There were a lot of players with better numbers, but Frazier was the soul of the Bulldogs in 2011 and made it happen.<\/p>\n

Not that his totals were shabby: 105 carries, 1,681 yards rushing and 21 touchdowns while sharing the backfield with Chris Solomon and Aaron Salgado through the first 13 weeks of the season. But it was in the championship game as well when he scored three touchdowns. Two on runs of 26 and 44-yards,\u00a0and his 90-yard kick-off return against La Serna at the start of the second quarter essentially swept the leg of the Lancers in an 84-21 blowout.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s 4G fast,\u201d said a fan on the La Serna sideline.<\/p>\n

We all knew who Frazier was before 2011, but it was in 2011 we discovered all that Frazier could do and mean to a championship program.<\/p>\n

For this effort and result Frazier is the Mid-Valley Sports, Southeast Division Player of the Year.<\/p>\n
