This also\u00a0makes the other six\u00a0teams in the league end up with ten wins or more.\u00a0Only Hoover will finish with less than ten.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Muir finished the\u00a0season with a record of 24-2 overall and\u00a013-1 in the Pacific with its only loss coming to city rival Pasadena.\u00a0All that is\u00a0gone now.<\/p>\n<p>Muir Coach Gamal Smalley\u00a0held\u00a0Frazier out of the last two games\u00a0while\u00a0CIF investigated\u00a0possible\u00a0violations of\u00a0his transfer. Frazier transferred in from Bell-Jeff last year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>CIF playoff pairings\u00a0will be announced Sunday afternoon but Muir will be out of the picture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Here&#8217;s a statement from Muir Principal Sheryl Orange:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;The John Muir High School boys basketball team will be forfeiting the majority of its games from the 2011-12 season and will be ineligible for the CIF playoffs because of the use of an ineligible player.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;After being alerted by CIF, Muir administration investigated and determined that a player on the boys basketball team was not eligible to play because a valid change of residence could not be sufficiently established. Out of an abundance of caution, Muir decided to forfeit the games.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Athletics are a privilege, not a right at Muir.
