The sigh of relief you heard last night was the confirmation of Joe Kanach as Alhambra\u2019s new football HC.<\/p>\n

“I’m glad it’s all over and we can move on,\u201d said Moors quarterback Josh Mendoza. \u201cWe are getting\u00a0ready to win a championship.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s hard to see our old coaches gone,\u201d says Moors \u201cBad Dude\u201d linebacker Nathan Quinones. \u201cBut it’s time to move on and get ready for a big year.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s true of a lot of coaches, probably not so true of some, but you have to work hard. Former Baldwin Park HC James Heggins was as hard a working coach as I\u2019ve ever seen.<\/p>\n

And the reunion flag football games at Baldwin Park were as fun to watch as anything else in the off season.<\/p>\n

The Mid-Valley Division is going to miss him, but for BP…with its history of zero financial support…this is like a bomb going off. The Braves program is going to need a miracle on par with Lourdes to survive this.<\/p>\n

Burroughs standout, and D-I talent, Zander Anding will take the JC route next fall.<\/p>\n

On a team with very few \u201cBad Dudes\u201d Temple City defensive end Felipe Serano (6-0, 231) will be critical to the Rams in 2012.<\/p>\n

After Sports Illustrated\u2019s story on the UCLA basketball program I guess former USC HC Tim Floyd wasn\u2019t such a bad guy after all…?<\/p>\n
