James Williams (#21) was awesome in his varsity debut for the Bulldogs.<\/p><\/div>\n

(Burbank) \u2013 After notching a 4-6 season in 2011, Burbank began its 2012 non-league schedule in fine fashion with a 39-3 drubbing of LA City Section opponent Chatsworth.<\/p>\n

A year of frustration became a distant memory quickly as Teddy Arlington and James Williams scored just 2:33 apart to build an insurmountable lead for the Bulldogs early in the first quarter.<\/p>\n

Returning Senior running back Arlington finished off an impressive opening drive with an eight-yard scat to open up the scoring, while newcomer Williams dazzled with a powerful 50-yard score with 5:12 remaining in the opening stanza.<\/p>\n

With an experienced defensive front, Burbank managed to frustrate the Chancellors offense with four straight four-and-outs to give all the breathing room the Bulldogs offense needed.<\/p>\n

A far cry from last season when Burbank only managed to produce two 30-plus scoring outputs, the Bulldog offense established itself in the first half by scoring 27 of its 39 points in the game. Second-year starting quarterback Zach Tomlinson rushed for a nine-yard score and Arlington scored his second touchdown of the evening midway through the first half of the opener to send the Burbank to the locker rooms with a 27-point lead.<\/p>\n

For the evening, Williams finished with 177 yards rushing on just 12 carries and Arlington ran for another 93 to help lead the Burbank offense in rushing.<\/p>\n

If any doubt lingered through the final quarter, it became erased as Williams blew by the entire Chatsworth defense when scoring on a 92-yard score with 9:57 remaining in the game.<\/p>\n

The Chancellors had a shot to get on the scoreboard late in the game only to fail on downs and fumble inside the red zone.<\/p>\n

The Bulldogs added another score before the end of the game when Tomlinson found Santorio wide open for a 79-yard pass play.<\/p>\n

Burbank nose tackle, three year starter, Steven Kim.<\/p><\/div>\n

Defensively the Bulldogs were paced by several players including linebackers Aaron Jimenez and Gary Clements, but it was three year starter Steven Kim who went off like a bomb in the Chancellors backfield. The senior nose tackle unofficially recorded four sacks and over ten tackles.<\/p>\n
