Jittered by a slow start, Booth later straightened out for completions of 36 and 25 yards to Ify Umodu and Geoff Vaughns, respectively.

Jacob Shirley threw the rock once, finding Umodu for a 32 yard catch. The Booth-Hernandez-Behr end zone connection unfolded on the next play with 1:12 left in the third quarter bell and South Hills leading 14-0. Shirley performed decently on special teams as a punter, amassing 253 yards on six tries. Three were 50 yards or better.

Ayala faced a second and 12 back in its own territory towards the end of the third and coughed up the pigskin. Several South Hills linebackers jumped after it in a frenzy to recover it two yards short of the goal line. Four plays later and 1:48 into the fourth quarter, Hart sneaked in from one yard out for TD number two, giving the Huskies a comfortable 21-0 cushion.

The Bulldogs spoiled the shutout with 46 seconds to go in regulation as Jacob Osborne sailed a 35 yard field goal through the uprights.

Ayala’s Orozco closed the night throwing for 134 yards on an 11-27, four interception night.
